Hola. El es Edgar Arturo. Tiene 11 años y vive en Veracruz Mexico.
El tiene Fibrosis quistica pulmonar, lo cual afecta multiples organos
Padece desnutrición cronica desde los 3 años, ya que su cuerpo no absorbe los nutrientes como es debido. No aumenta de peso y es mas bajo que un niño de su edad. Su padecimiento ademas afecta su higado y pancreas. Esta en constante ansiedad, se arrancha pedazos de piel, uñas y muerde sus labios constantemente haciendo que su almohada tenga manchas de sangre.
Ademas debido a la falta de nutrientes su capacidad de aprendizaje y habla se ve afectada y tiene que repetir lo que dice ya que es dificil entenderle.
Cuando solo tenia 2 meses y medio estuvo internado por un mes. Le dio meningitis , Los doctores no le daban esperanza de vida. Pero Edgar lucho a su corta edad a pesar de tener todo en su contra.
Su mama no puede tener un trabajo estable debido a que tiene que atenderlo.
Aunque son incontables los gastos que conlleva esta terrible y degenerativa enfermedad. Ella paga el seguro social desde el 2018.
2 veces al mes lo lleva a la ciudad de Mexico, lo que implica comprar boletos de autobus, comida, y ahora hospedaje, ya que la tia que los ayudaba fallecio tragicamente y ya no tienen donde pasar la noche.
El necesita diferentes aparatos medicos, incluidos un aerochamber y un oximetro y nebulizador el cual tiene que comprar al menos dos veces al año ya que lo usa 3 veces al dia minimo.
Su mama intenta que Edgar este lo mas comodo posible. Por eso tiene gastos adicionales con aceites naturales que lo hacen sentir mejor, debido a que tiene una bacteria en su garganta. La mayor parte de su tiempo se la pasa encerrado debido a su delicada condicion, lo cual lo hace sentir muy triste por no poder salir a divertirse como cualquier niño de su edad.
La enfermedad de Edgar es degenaritiva y no tiene cura. Donando ayudarias a Edgar a llevar una vida un poco mas comoda, y tambien seria un gran alivio para su familia que sufren por ver a Edgar sufriendo constantemente. Muchisimas gracias por ayudar a Edgar
This is Edgar Arturo. He is 11 years old and lives in Veracruz, Mexico.
He has cystic fibrosis. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is an inherited, chronic disease that interferes with the
respiratory, digestive, and reproductive systems. Mutations of a specific gene (the CFTR) affect the cells
that line the organs of these three systems. This defective gene causes the production of thick, sticky
mucus. It builds up and clogs the small airways and passageways which carry harmful bacteria out of the
body. Because the bacteria is trapped, serious infections develop that weaken the organs and place
constant stress on the immune system.
Edgar`s mom uses essential oils to help him to breath better and stop the coughing since he has bacteria
permanently in his throat. He needs equipment such an Aerochamber, oximeter, and a nebulizer. He
needs to eat more than an average child his age since his body can't absorb nutrients properly. He also
has chronic malnutrition for this reason. He's in pain most of the times and hardly ever leaves his room.
When he was only 2 months old he spend a month in the hospital and the doctor told his parents that
he was not going to make it. But his mom says he's a warrior and she's proud of how despite all his
limitations, he's a loving boy is always smiling. Edgar lives in constant anxiety which makes him rips off
pieces of skin leaving spots of blood on his pillow.
Edgar’s mom cannot get a regular job since she must take care of him fulltime and travel twice a month
with him to Mexico City for medical appointments. She has multiple expenses such as:
Bus tickets, rent money, constant taxi rides, supplements for his malnutrition, and traveling expenses
especially after Edgar's aunt, the one that gave them a place to stay in Mexico City, passed away in a
tragic accident. Now they don't have a place to spend the night there.
His condition has no cure and he has a very low life expectancy, but with your donation, you can help
alleviate his pain and make the time he has left a little better for him and his family.
