Hola, mi nombre es Aurora Lobato, tengo 56 años. Soy madre de dos hijos maravillosos, esposa, hermana e hija. Desde hace muchos años trabajo como maestra de inglés y educación en la fe, y además soy tanatóloga, una labor que considero mi verdadera vocación, porque me ha permitido acompañar a muchas personas en momentos difíciles de su vida.

Hace aproximadamente un mes recibí un diagnóstico que cambió mi vida y la de mi familia: cáncer de páncreas con displasia en el peritoneo. Desde ese momento comenzó para nosotros una batalla muy difícil. No es solamente una lucha física y emocional, sino también una carrera contra el tiempo, ya que este tipo de cáncer puede ser agresivo y avanzar rápidamente, con el riesgo de generar metástasis en otros órganos.

Como muchas familias que enfrentan una enfermedad grave, nos hemos encontrado también con retos económicos. Los gastos médicos necesarios para iniciar el tratamiento son muy altos y han comenzado a superar nuestras posibilidades.

Los primeros pasos urgentes del tratamiento incluyen:

• Biopsia por laparoscopía

• Sesiones iniciales de quimioterapia

Lamentablemente, debido a los tiempos de espera, no es posible iniciar estos procedimientos a través del sistema público de salud con la rapidez que mi condición requiere, por lo que mi familia y yo debemos realizarlos de manera particular para no perder tiempo valioso en el tratamiento.

Por esta razón, hoy con mucha humildad y esperanza pedimos tu apoyo. Cualquier donación, por pequeña que sea, representa una enorme ayuda y un gran alivio para mi familia y para mí en este momento tan difícil.

About a month ago, my family and I received news that changed our world: a diagnosis of pancreatic cancer with peritoneal dysplasia. From that moment, a difficult battle began. It's not just a physical and emotional struggle, but also a race against time, as this type of cancer can be aggressive.
