Ayuda a Anita a luchar contra el cancer cerebral

Mi nombre es Ana Forero. Nací en Bogotá Colombia. Llegué a Houston en el 2003. Siempre he tenido dos trabajos: en una escuela como Teaching Assistant y en la bodega de Victoria's Secret de Houston Galeria. En los 4 últimos años hice ajustes con relación al trabajo y al servició de la iglesia. Estuve como voluntaria haciendo llamadas a personas que necesitaban oración en nuevos comienzos.

Hace un mes convulsioné y ahora estoy recibiendo un nuevo reto en mi vida. Para mi sorpresa, tengo en mi cerebro un glioblastoma en el lóbulo frontal izquierdo. Es un tumor cancerígeno. Y aunque los médicos actuaron rápidamente y operaron, el tumor se está reproduciendo.

Próximamente me harán una segunda cirugía en la cual estaré un tanto despierta para que pueda hablar, levantar un brazo o un pie durante la operación. El objetivo de esta cirugía es erradicar el tumor y observar el no tocar mis funciones motrices. Después de esta cirugía debo hacerme una quimioterapia y radioterapia por 6 semanas de martes a jueves.

Por el hecho de convulsionar según la ley de Texas no puedo conducir por 3 meses. Yo vivo sola, ya que mi familia vive en Colombia. Durante este proceso no tendré ingresos ya que no podré trabajar y tendré que cubrir gastos médicos elevados, aparte de los de manutención y transporte.

Quedo altamente agradecida por su colaboración en el trasporte a citas médicas o al cuidado de un día cuando salga del hospital. Dios les continué bendiciendo.

My name is Ana Forero. I was born in Bogota, Colombia. I came to Houston in 2003. I've always had two jobs: at a school as a Teaching Assistant and Victoria's Secret warehouse in Houston Galleria. In the last four years, I made adjustments concerning work and my service to the church. I was volunteering to make calls to people who needed prayer in the New Beginnings Ministry.

A month ago, I had a seizure, and now I am receiving a new challenge in my life. To my surprise, I have a glioblastoma in my left frontal lobe. It is a cancerous tumor. And although the doctors acted quickly and operated, the cancer is reproducing.

Soon I will have a second surgery in which I will be somewhat awake so that I can speak and lift an arm or a foot during the operation. The objective of this surgery is to eradicate the tumor without affecting any of my motor functions. After this surgery, I will undergo chemotherapy and radiotherapy for six weeks, from Tuesday to Thursday.

According to Texas law, I cannot drive for three months due to the convulsions. I live alone since my family lives in Colombia. During this process, I will have no income since I cannot work and have to cover high medical expenses besides living and transportation expenses.
