Hello, my name is Keyla Moreno, I am the mother of two beautiful children, Aaron, 14 years old, and Naevia, 3 years old. My husband, Ernesto Sánchez, and I came from Sinaloa, Mexico, to the US 7 years ago. We have gone through very hard times to be here. My husband and I have been working in factories in Chicago, Illinois where what we earn allows us to live better than where we came from. Our lives have been full of ups and downs, but at the same time we’ve been blessed because our family is together and see our children grow up here with the peace of mind that this country offers us.

On October 30, 2022, my son Aaron told me that he felt tired and had a headache, he also had intense pain in his reproductive system and certain spots on his body. We decided to take him to a hospital, when we arrived at SHERMAN HOSPITAL, they carried out some studies and they told me that he had a problem in his blood, they transferred him to COMER CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL where after other tests they diagnosed him with Leukemia.

Our lives changed dramatically, at that moment I felt like he was dying, I could not understand how this happened to our little son, it is so sad and heartbreaking to know that your son has this terrible disease.

Since that day everything have been very difficult since I can no longer work, we are alone in this country, we have no other relatives nearby, we are a Family of 4. Thankfully a couple of friends have been helping us taking care of our little 3 year old girl. I have spent weeks in the hospital in Chicago and my husband must go back to work but there are days that he can't do that because of our our baby.

Family and friends in Mexico have organized other events to try to help us with some expenses here, but as you know the help is not much because of the currency exchange, but it still counts.

It is with great sadness and with the depths of my heart that I have created this account for any type of help that you can give us, my husband works in a factory and the salary of a single person is not enough and we do not qualify for any type of assistance, we only count with one income, we need help for rent, groceries, fuel for transfers to the hospital, my son needs me and I have to be with him in these difficult times, in this long battle.

I ask you with all my heart to say a Prayer for my son, may GOD help us to be strong as a family and to win this battle, in advance thank you very much with all my heart GOD Bless you.

Hola me llamo Keyla Moreno soy madre de dos hermosos hijos, Aaron de 14 años y Naevia de 3 años, mi esposo Ernesto Sánchez y yo nos venimos desde Sinaloa México hasta acá USA ya hace 7 años, nos tocó vivir momentos muy duros para estar aquí, él y yo trabajamos en las fábricas de Chicago Illinois donde lo que ganamos nos permite vivir mejor que el lugar de donde vinimos. Nuestra vida ha sido de altos y bajos, pero a la vez bendecida por que podemos tener a nuestra familia junta y ver crecer a nuestros hijos desde cerca aquí con la tranquilidad que nos ofrece este país.

El pasado 30 octubre del 2022 mi hijo Aaron me comentaba que se sentía cansado y que le dolía la cabeza, también tenía un dolor intenso en su aparato reproductor y ciertas manchas en su cuerpo, al verlo como se sentía decidimos llevarlo a un hospital.

Llegamos al SHERMAN HOSPITAL, ahí le realizaron unos estudios y me dijeron que tenía un problema en su sangre, lo trasladaron para el COMER CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL donde luego de otros exámenes lo diagnosticaron con Leucemia.

Nuestras vidas cambiaron rotundamente, en ese momento sentía que moría no podía entender el cómo le sucedido esto a nuestro pequeño hijo, es tan triste y desgarrador saber que tu hijo tiene una terrible enfermedad.

Desde ese día ha sido muy difícil puesto que ya no puedo trabajar, estamos solos en este país no tenemos más familiares cerca, prácticamente somos una Familia de 4, si no fuera por un par de amigos que nos han ayudado con el cuidado de nuestra pequeña de 3 años no sabríamos que hacer con ella. He pasado semanas en el hospital de chicago y mi esposo tiene que trabajar y hay días en los que no puede hacerlo por nuestro bebe.

La familia y amigos en México han organizado otros eventos para tratar de ayudarnos con algunos gastos acá, como sabrán la ayuda de allá no es mucha por el cambio de moneda, pero igual cuenta.

Con mucha pena y con lo más profundo de mi corazón he creado esta cuenta para cualquier tipo de ayuda que nos brinden, mi esposo trabaja en una fábrica y el sueldo de una sola persona no alcanza y no calificamos para ningún tipo de asistencia, solo contamos con el ingreso de uno solo, necesitamos ayuda para renta, despensa, combustible para traslados al hospital, mi hijo me necesita y tengo que estar con él en estos momentos difíciles, en esta larga batalla.

Les pido de todo corazón que le brinden una Oración a mi hijo, que DIOS nos ayude a estar fuertes como familia para ganar esta batalla, de ante mano muchísimas gracias de todo corazón DIOS les Bendiga.
