¡Hola! deseo que se encuentre bien, quiero aprovechar la oportunidad para explicarle por qué estoy haciendo esta campaña.
Mi nombre es Gabriel Osorio, tengo 60 años, actualmente vivo en Ecuador junto a mis hijos y mi esposa, tuve que emigrar de Venezuela junto con ellos y hace unos meses comencé a presentar una inflamación extraña a la altura de la parótida, lo que diagnosticaron como “ganglio parotidal inflamado”, me han pedido una serie de exámenes y estudios para poder realizarme un tratamiento, pero la situación en nuestro hogar no lo ha permitido, ya que la suma del costo de los exámenes supera nuestros ingresos en estos momentos.
Me han solicitado hacer unos exámenes de sangre, oncológicos, TSH, T4 libre, biométrica hemática, química sanguínea (glucosa basal, Urea, creatinina, ácido úrico), perfil lipídico (colesterol, HDL, LDL, triglicéridos), enzimas (AST/TGO, ALT/TGP), deshidrogenasa láctica, química sanguínea (proteínas totales, albumina, globulina), inmunología (HIV/sida), Serología (VDRL/sífilis), exámenes de orina y heces.
Recientemente gracias a toda la ayuda que he recibido, pude ir a hacerme algunos exámenes que permitieron realizar el diagnóstico de mi salud con mayor exactitud, el cual indica que tengo un tumor a la altura de la parótida. Existe un 60 % de posibilidades de que sea un tumor maligno, por las características en las que se presentó y la avanzada edad que tengo. Debo seguirme realizando más pruebas para determinar finalmente cómo debemos actuar, lo que debe tratar de ser lo más pronto posible y mientras más días pasan mi salud se puede ver más comprometida ya que podría terminar expandiéndose al resto de mi cuerpo, y aumentar el daño.
Actualmente, los pasos que debemos seguir, son realizar una Resonancia Magnética Nuclear con contraste de parótida derecha y cuello, pero con gadolinio porque soy alérgico al yodo, para tener un mejor panorama de mi estado actual. Adicionalmente, realizar una biopsia de la lesión, que juntas determinarán si es benigno o maligno.
De una u otra manera, se debe realizar la intervención quirúrgica para poder extraer el tumor. El costo de la cirugía, los exámenes, los medicamentos, y los posteriores tratamientos están alrededor de los $7000, y mis hijos se encuentran haciendo todo lo humanamente posible para ayudarme a mejorar mi salud.. Agradezco el hecho de poder tener en estos momentos un futuro más claro que hace algunos meses. Sin embargo siento un poco de temor por toda esta situación, ya que me gustaría poder seguir trabajando, seguir apoyando a mis hijos, envejecer con mi esposa y ver crecer a mis nietecitos, quisiera poder vencer esta enfermedad rápido y poder seguir viviendo los años dorados que me quedan por delante.
Para evitar alguna complicación conforme a mi salud, necesito recaudar los fondos para realizar los estudio y la operación hasta el 8 de septiembre, y así comenzar mi tratamiento post-operatorio.

Recently, thanks to all the help I have received, I was able to go for some tests that allowed me to diagnose my health more accurately, which indicates that I have a tumor at the level of the parotid. There is a 60% chance that it is a malignant tumor, due to the characteristics in which it was presented and my advanced age. I must continue to carry out more tests to finally determine how we should act, which should try to be as soon as possible and the more days go by, my health may be more compromised since it could end up expanding to the rest of my body, and increase the damage
Currently, the steps that we must follow are to perform a Nuclear Magnetic Resonance with contrast of the right parotid and neck, but with gadolinium because I am allergic to iodine, to have a better overview of my current state. Additionally, perform a biopsy of the lesion, which together will determine if it is benign or malignant.
One way or another, surgical intervention must be performed to be able to remove the tumor. The cost of surgery, exams, medications, and subsequent treatments are around $ 7000, and my children are doing everything humanly possible to help me improve my health. I appreciate the fact that I can have a future clearer than a few months ago. However, I feel a little fear for this whole situation, since I would like to be able to continue working, continue supporting my children, grow old with my wife and see my grandchildren grow up, I would like to be able to overcome this disease quickly and be able to continue living the golden years that lie ahead of me.
To avoid any complications according to my health, I need to raise the funds to carry out the studies and the operation until September 8, and thus start my post-operative treatment.
