AYSO 870 Equipment Shed
Donation protected
Recently the shed for the AYSO 870 region was destroyed in a fire. With generous donations, we are looking to rebuild.
This building housed a large amount of AYSO equipment, including our large canopy that we use for events like Jamboree and Soccerfest, the air horn we use for tournaments, nearly all of our goalkeeper jerseys, extra uniforms, a brand new box of cones used for practices and trainings, referee uniforms and equipment, all of our AYSO registration yard signs, an entire bin of cleats of various sizes that were donated to the program, extra balls, pinnies, training materials, and so many other items.
The loss is estimated to be about $10,000. Sadly, our insurance policy does not cover this structure or it's contents.
This kind of loss is devastating, as AYSO is a volunteer-run, non-profit youth soccer organization. AYSO Region 870 serves youth in Albany, Lebanon, Sweet Home, Tangent, Halsey, Jefferson, Scio, Turner, Brownsville, and adjacent areas, so this affects a large area and many families in Albany and our neighboring communities.
