Hi everyone! My name is Aysia Grey, and I am a student at the University of Missouri majoring in journalism with an emphasis in social media and audience strategy. In a few weeks, I will be participating in the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Zeta Alpha Chapter’s Miss Black and Gold Scholarship Pageant.

My mission is to use this scholarship to help support underfunded Black youth in Chicago and Columbia and also to further advance my education in graduate school, since I will be graduating May 10th with my B.A. in journalism.

In this pageant, I am judged on my speech, academics, interview, swimwear, evening wear, and talent. One of my duties as a participant is to fundraise. My goal for fundraising is $1600 and it is due March 20th, but you can still donate up until April 4th! I have made a GoFundMe to help me raise money.
