Help Us Bring Year Three of AYR's Creative Storytelling to Life!
We’re ready to dive deeper into our projects and bring even more voices to the mic.
Hi everyone, it's Robbie from August Year Round Productions. Two years ago, we began an incredible journey together— one of creativity, collaboration, and amplifying voices during a challenging time. Now, as another Pride Month comes to a close, it feels more important than ever to lift up inclusive, imaginative stories and incredible, indie audio experiences.
In Years One and Two, thanks to your support, AYR laid the foundation for our podcast production company. We acquired essential equipment, got the wheels of creativity turning, and start producing some truly exciting shows. From scripted fiction audiodramas to short story podcasts, we’ve managed to turn ideas into audio reality. But there’s much more to do, and that brings us to Year Three of August Year Round.
And that's where we could use a little more of your incredible love and support.
What We’ve Accomplished So Far:
- Produced and launched multiple podcast seasons— including scripted and short story formats— that explore fresh perspectives, deep characters, and bold narratives.
- Built a sustainable, indie, creative-driven audio production model that allows us to support other artists and storytellers.
- Created a space for diverse, unique voices to thrive and collaborate.
Year Three: The Creative Explosion Begins
This year is all about expanding our podcast slate, developing new creative projects, and collaborating with even more amazing storytellers to bring fresh, innovative podcasts to life. With your support, we'll be able to:
- Explore, develop, and produce more independent, quality podcasts, including an exciting mix of genres and formats.
- Expand our team of writers, actors, and creative collaborators, ensuring that we stay true to our mission of giving diverse creatives and stories a platform.
- Get the word out on our work through PR, supplemental artwork, and social media outreach, so these stories can reach the audiences they deserve.
What Your Support Will Fund:
To meet these ambitious goals, we’re looking to raise $3,500. This will go directly toward:
- New Podcasts: Helping us expand our slate of projects.
- New Seasons: Continuing fan-favorite series from the past two years
- Equipment Upgrades: Upgrading our sound gear (including microphones, mixers, and studio tech) to ensure the best audio quality for our growing list of podcasts.
- Visuals: Building out custom (creative-driven) supplemental artwork for our podcast & social media visuals
- Promotion: Enhancing our podcast’s reach through social media campaigns and outreach, helping us get the word out and engage new listeners, and submit to film/audio/new media festivals.
- Collaborations: Supporting the writers, actors, and audio artists who bring these stories to life.
Upcoming Projects:
We’ve got some exciting new seasons, episodes, and series in the works for Year Three and beyond. Your support will help bring these projects to life, as we continue to grow and explore new stories! Below are some of the upcoming projects currently in development—
MOONBURN: SEASON THREE – In our queer, new adult fiction podcast... Season Three continues Lucas’ journey as he navigates the highs and lows of building a life in New York City, heeding the guidance of a new set of diary cassette tapes, facing fresh challenges, forging the unbreakable bonds with his chosen family, and finding his balance in a life all his own... even as the past keeps knocking at his door.
(UN)LIKEMINDED: COLLECTION FOUR – New Theme. New Stories. A brand-new season of our exciting sci-fi short story anthology series!
HAUNTED: THE VAN BUREN MANOR – A new comedy fiction podcast that follows a team of ghost-hunting frauds after their staged investigations lead them to the mysterious Van Buren Manor, where they must confront their first ever real haunting. Trapped inside the manor, their only choice for escaping alive is unraveling a century old mystery and stopping the manor’s restless Matriarch from enacting her greatest revenge— a plot that may hit closer to home than any of them could imagine.
THE 50TH FIRST DATE – A witty and heartfelt fiction podcast that follows Logan Quinn as she navigates the wild world of modern dating with a bold experiment: 100 first dates, each secretly recorded for her new podcast. But when fate plays a cruel twist on her 50th date— being stood up— Logan’s night takes an even more surprising turn. She meets HAYES, a charming stranger who sweeps her off her feet. As their connection deepens over shared laughs and a few glasses of wine, Logan realizes she’s still recording. Torn between honesty and excitement, she faces a dilemma: Should she continue recording and share this new, authentic journey with her listeners, risking losing him, or turn it all off and see where this new potential love might really lead?
UNT. MONSTERS SHORT STORY COLLECTION – An exciting mix of the short story and audiodrama formats— In the quaint town of Edgewood, WI, four college freshmen find their ordinary lives turned upside down when fate intervenes, transforming them into monsters— a witch, a werewolf, a zombie, and a vampire. As they navigate these new identities and struggle to control their powers, they must forge an unlikely alliance to confront the dark, supernatural forces threatening their town— and survive their first year of college.
Why This Matters
I know how hard it can be to carve out space as a creator. Whether it’s because of the industry, the economy, or our identities, it can feel like the odds are stacked against us. That’s why every donation— no matter the size— is so vital. It allows us to keep creating, keep growing, and keep providing a space for creativity to thrive.
By contributing, you're building a more inclusive podcasting world—one that values creativity, collaboration, and authenticity. You're helping us push boundaries, break molds, and tell more of the stories we wish existed when we were younger.
Thank you, always, for your love and support. Every contribution— whether it’s financial or simply sharing this campaign— brings us one step closer to making something truly meaningful. I'm so proud of what we’ve built together, and I can’t wait to show you what’s next.
With so much appreciation,
