Thank you!! On December 28th, the Pediatric team at UCDavis confirmed with Ambrose and I that our youngest daughter, our baby, did in fact need to begin treatment for Leukemia. I’ll never forget the date, but, As clear as that day is, I still felt like I was in a fog. We are now 5 weeks in and our new journey is well underway. Aiyanna has handled what has been given to her with grace, just like the princess she is. We are taking each day as it comes and with her amazing team we know she will get passed this. What should have been a dark time for Ambrose and I really turned into a wave of light we wouldn’t have expected and we want to thank every single person who provided their share of support for Aiyanna. To everyone that shared our story- thank you so much we are so grateful. I know I am still overwhelmed by the out pouring of love we felt by all. It has meant so much to us during this time. Thank you. Josh, you gave up your space to allow us to give Aiyanna the normalcy of a home rather than a hotel after leaving the hospital, you gave up your mid day gym visits for her health - and made sure the older kids knew they could rely on their Uncle Joshie. None of this went unnoticed- I love you. Thank you. Mom- you stepped in when I was doing a million different things and helped with dinners, snacks and laundry. Sneaking Aiyanna the food she wanted so she can turn around and tell on you. I love you. Thank you.
