Freedom, Safety & Comfort for a Brave 11 Year Old Boy

Meet Ayden a smart, kind hearted, and funny 11 year old who lights up every room with his smile. Ayden loves playing Roblox, watching gaming videos, and spending time with his family. He’s curious, imaginative, and dreams big just like any other boy his age.

But Ayden is also living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) a rare and progressive muscle wasting disease that weakens the muscles over time. Currently there is no cure for Duchenne. Recently, Ayden suffered a fractured leg, making it even harder for him to move safely and comfortably. Getting him in and out of the car for basic needs like doctor visits or school has become overwhelming and unsafe.

Why We're Asking for Help

As Ayden grows and his mobility becomes more limited, he now depends on a power wheelchair. Unfortunately, our current vehicle can’t safely transport his chair or Ayden without extreme physical lifting and risk of injury.

That’s why we’re raising funds to purchase a wheelchair accessible van a life changing tool that will give Ayden safe and easy access to the world again.

The Goal

A gently used accessible van, with a ramp and floor modifications, costs $60,000+, depending on features and availability. A brand new van is well over 100,000. Insurance and Medicaid do not cover this essential need. Every single donation will go directly toward the van nothing else.
