Ayúdenme a que mi papa sea útil otra vez

Queridos familiares y amigos.

Acudo a la buena voluntad y el apoyo económico que a bien me puedan brindar, en vista de la necesidad que actualmente presenta el estado físico de mi padre.

Mi nombre es Fernando Barrera, tengo 16 años y he tenido la suerte de tener al papa que tengo, ya que a lo largo de mi vida ha sido ejemplo de lucha, constancia y entrega como hombre de familia, como ingeniero y como amigo.

Mi padre es Pedro Barrera Aguilar, con 59 años, es ingeniero y tiene 2 hijos mi hermana de 25 y yo de 16 años, vivimos en la Ciudad de Mérida Venezuela.

En octubre del 2007 en su quehacer como Ingeniero constructor, siempre en carretera, de oriente a occidente, tuvo un accidente de tránsito bastante aparatoso, en el cual, se le ocasionaron múltiples fracturas óseas; meseta tibial derecha en grado 2, tibia y peroné abiertas a nivel del tobillo y humero izquierdo.

Para el momento de este percance lo favorecía, el seguro de HCM del Fonpres Colegio de Ingenieros, que cubrió todo su proceso de cirugías, terapias y recuperación, a lo largo de las 38 operaciones que le practicaron hasta el 2015, ya en la última que le hicieron (marzo 2016) se manifestó la deficiencia o deterioro que sufrieron los seguros con la profunda devaluación de nuestra moneda (Bolívares), dejándolo a medias en el pago de la misma.

De esta fecha hasta 2020 las coberturas del Fonpres eran en Bs. y muy insuficientes, lo que generó el corte en la continuidad de los seguros, de tal suerte que, al comienzo de 2021 al intentar tomar una póliza de seguro en $ de Fonpres con Seguro Mercantil, según su informe médico, fue rechazado, otros seguros lo aceptaban, pero anteponían cláusulas, que dejaban por fuera las articulaciones y huesos, involucrados en dicho accidente.

En los últimos dos años su brazo izquierdo se ha deteriorado debido a; fractura activa de humero izquierdo, movimiento del clavo intramedular ocasionando daño a la articulación del codo, fatiga de los tornillos de placa de reconstrucción y separación de la misma del hueso, ocasionando posición en L, inmovilidad y severos dolores del brazo.

Su rodilla derecha ha experimentado un marcado detrimento, degenerando a lo largo del tiempo en una gonartrosis severa, que ha mermado su calidad de vida, presentando dolores permanentes y limitando su andar normal, además de, la incapacidad para desarrollar cualquier actividad laboral, por tanto, es urgente y necesario su entrada a quirófano para:

 

1.- Corrección quirúrgica con la extracción del clavo intramedular de humero y demás material de síntesis existentes (placas y tornillos partidos y fatigados), sustraer parte del Peroné (7 cm) como material de injerto y la colocación de una placa especial para humero distal de 14 orificios con pernos de bloqueo y colocación de injerto tricortical de cresta iliaca todo bajo intensificador de imágenes.

2.- Cirugía para realizar reemplazo total de la rodilla derecha con prótesis del tipo Génesis II con componente femoral de oxinium de Smith and Nephew.

Como verán es un cuadro complicado para solventarlo sin la asistencia de un seguro, aunado a esto desde el 2014 mi papá se encuentra desempleado por la situación país que vivimos en Venezuela, y mucho más marcado en su ramo (construcción) que está paralizado. Por todo lo anterior, es que acudo a este medio para encontrar apoyo económico, que nos ayude y nos permita poder operarlo y suministrarle calidad de vida y una vida útil para su familia y la sociedad.

Debo exponer lo siguiente:

.- Los implantes que se necesitan se han conseguido a un precio muy solidario por las casas comerciales que siempre lo atendieron en este proceso y conocen el caso.

.- Los médicos involucrados en ambas cirugías, lo han eximido de sus honorarios profesionales, también conocedores del caso.

.- La clínica donde se realizaran las cirugías, le están dando el precio de su costo, por estricto consumo, y permitiendo que todo lo que se pueda aportar para reducir gastos, sea válido.

Con todo esto, para poder realizar ambas operaciones a mi papá, necesitamos la cantidad de 12.800 $, y es por ello que acudo a la solidaridad del mayor número de personas que nos puedan ayudar, esperando que, de poquito en poquito, pueda recuperar su calidad de vida y volver a la acción con su andar normal, para desarrollar su vida laboral con regularidad.

Hello. My name is Fernando Barrera, I am 16 years old and I have been fortunate to have a father who throughout my life has been an example of struggle, perseverance and dedication as a family man, as an engineer and as a friend.

He is Pedro Barrera Aguilar, 59 years old and has 2 children, my sister, 25, and I, 16, we live in Mérida, Venezuela.

In October 2007, while he was working as a construction engineer, he was driving in a Highway east of the country, he had a quite enormous traffic accident, in which multiple bone fractures were caused; right tibia plateau in grade 2, open tibia and fibula at the level of the left ankle and humerus bone.

At the time of this mishap, he was favored by an insurance company which was covered by the Venezuelan Engineers Association, which payed for his entire process of surgeries, therapies and recovery, throughout the 38 operations that he underwent until 2015, already in the last one (March 2016) the turmoil and deterioration of the Venezuelan political and economic situation including the deep devaluation of our currency, ruin the market and most of the insurance companies went bankruptcy, leaving my dad halfway in paying his health debts.

From that date until 2020, the deep economic crisis due to the sociopolitical situation in our country generated a cut in the continuity of insurance, making it impossible to complete the long and intricate surgical process that my father needed to restore his anatomical functions.

In the last two years his left arm has deteriorated due to a (still active) fracture of his humerus due to the movement of a intramedullary nail, which have damaged the elbow joint; also the fatigue of the reconstruction plate screws and the separation of the same from the bone has left it in an L-shape, causing immobility and severe pain in the same arm. His right knee has experienced a marked deterioration, degenerating over time into a severe knee osteoarthritis, which has reduced his quality of life, presenting permanent pain and limiting his normal walking, in addition to the inability to carry out any work activity, therefore , it is urgent and necessary to enter the operating room to:

1.- Surgical correction with the extraction of the intramedullary nail of the humerus and other existing synthetic material (plates and broken and fatigued screws), subtract part of the fibula (7 cm) as graft material and the placement of a special plate for the distal humerus of 14 holes with locking bolts and placement of tricortical iliac crest graft all under image intensifier.
2.- Surgery to perform total replacement of the right knee with a Genesis II prosthesis with a Smith and Nephew oxinium femoral component.
As you will see, it is a complicated situation to solve without the assistance of insurance, in addition to this, since 2014 my father has been unemployed due to the country situation that we live in Venezuela, and much more marked in his branch (construction) that is paralyzed. For all of the above, it is that I turn to this medium to find financial support, to help us and allow us to be able to operate it and provide quality of life and a useful life for your family and society.
I must show the following:
.- The implants that are needed have been obtained at a very supportive price by the commercial houses that always attended him in this process and know the case.
.- The doctors involved in both surgeries have exempted him from his professional fees, also aware of the case.
.- The clinic where the surgeries will be performed, are giving you the price of its cost, for strict consumption, and allowing everything that can be contributed to reduce expenses, to be valid.
