The McKnight Family

My name is Courtney, and I have been blessed to be friends with Monica (Thompson) McKnight for the past 15 years. An added bonus to our friendship is the addition of Tim McKnight 11 years ago and their son Timmy, 8 years ago.

If you know the McKnight’s, you love them, and if you don’t know them, you’re missing out! They are an incredible family that supports their friends and family whenever and however they can.

As friends and family of Monica and Tim McKnight, it’s time for us to step up and support them in their time of need!

Monica was recently diagnosed with young onset Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer, after being progressively ill over the past year, without medical explanation.

The McKnight family has a long road ahead of them. Monica is receiving treatment at Cleveland Clinic, and they will be staying in Cleveland through the course of her treatment. Monica will have 25 chemo and radiation treatments over the next 5 weeks, and 5 weeks later they will rescan to evaluate if the tumor is small enough to be surgically removed. If it is unable to be removed at that time, Monica will begin another 4 months of treatment.

As you can imagine, this is a physically, emotionally, and financially draining time for Monica, Tim, and Timmy.

As their family and friends, we have a strong desire to help them, but often feel helpless to do so. It is my hope that if you’re reading this, you’ll make a donation to help out the McKnight family during this time, even if you don’t know them personally. Funds raised will go directly to Monica and Tim and will help to offset the cost of medical bills, housing, food, care, and essential items for the McKnight family.
