Help Ayane Cross the Finish Line: Support Her Dream to Become a Physical Therapist
Hey everyone,
Let me share a bit about an incredible person, Ayane. She's a gem in our community, embarking on her journey to become a Physical Therapist at UCSF.
Ayane's story is unique and filled with determination. Having spent 23 years in the States, she considers this place her home. However, born in Japan and living under her father’s visa, she faced the tough choice of staying in the US for her education when her family moved back to Japan.
Ayane, now on an F-1 Visa, has navigated these challenges with grace, fueled by her passion for physical therapy—a passion sparked by the inspiring therapists she's met along the way. Ayane's dedication is evident in her commitment to her education, despite the daunting costs of international student fees.
She's explored every avenue for funding, from private loans to reaching out back home, only to find barriers at every turn due to her international student status. This setback hasn’t dampened her spirit; instead, she’s reaching out to our community, hoping for support to continue her journey.
Currently, Ayane is juggling a part-time job, side hustles, and the kindness of friends to cover her expenses, which amount to $50,000 for her final year.
Any support you can offer, whether it's financial or simply sharing her story, would mean the world to her. It's more than just helping Ayane stay in the US and complete her DPT program; it's about supporting someone who embodies resilience, compassion, and the drive to make a difference in people’s lives.
Thanks for taking the time to hear about Ayane’s journey. Your support, in any form, is invaluable!
