Dear family and friends,

My name is Ali Bland, and in 2016, I spent a year working at home for formally abused girls in the beautiful country of Swaziland. During this year, I had the joy of teaching Ayanda, and amazingly, despite unimaginable hurdles shes faced, she passed all her exams and gained a place at Viterbo University in Wisconsin!

Ayanda has been an incredible friend and after staying with parents and I this summer, we would call her part of the family. After a year at Viterbo, she’s achieved top grades, and her dream to qualify as a social worker is more important and closer than ever.

However, the funding from her Swazi donors has run out and Ayanda has been told that she will have to leave university and America within a few weeks if her university fees are not paid for this year ($30,000!). She has absolutely nothing and is caught in a terrible situation after all the hopes offered to her in the first place.

I know this sum seems enormous and almost impossible, but I believe nothing is impossible when we all work together. This is the final chance Ayanda has to achieve her dream. Let's make it a reality!

To read more about Ayanda’s situation, and to discover more about what a truly incredible, inspirational person she is, please read my blog post here.
