My Brother’s Story – Chronic Pancreatitis

My younger brother has been diagnosed with Chronic Pancreatitis, a progressive and painful condition where the pancreas becomes inflamed and slowly loses its ability to function. It causes intense abdominal pain, digestive problems, and serious weight loss. He may soon require an advanced procedure called ERCP or even surgery, which we are struggling to afford due to limited resources and lack of full insurance coverage.

My Story – Achalasia Cardia

Alongside caring for him, I’ve been silently dealing with my own condition — a rare esophageal disorder called Achalasia Cardia. It makes swallowing difficult, causes chest pain, food regurgitation, and regular discomfort while eating or drinking. Doctors have advised a procedure called POEM (Peroral Endoscopic Myotomy) — a treatment that can greatly improve my quality of life, but it's also expensive and not commonly available in local government hospitals.
