I never ever thought I'd be asking help for my cat. But she means the world to us. Mia is a Siberian cat. The reason we decided to get the Siberian cat breed was because we wanted to find a breed that had less allergens since my partner is allergic to cats. Mia fit perfectly into our lives. She's so sweet, has a very good temperament, loves treats, loves to play, never goes on the counters or tables, does her nails on her designated areas (except for one corner of our couch), and we also taught her some tricks. Siberian cats are not known to meow at their owners but we meowed at her so much, now she meows back at us. We love her so so much.

Recently she had some trouble breathing. We brought her to the vet and found out that she had a pyothorax. A deadly infection, where pus had accumulated in her thorax, pressing against her lungs. She was hospitalized for 3 nights. She came back home with antibiotics. Over the week she seemed ok but her appetite was very low. We tried to feed her with treats but even then, she wasn't as enthusiastic as before. Most times, she refused to eat and she even vomited a few times due to the meds.

So we brought her back to the vet. They told us the pus came back. She needed a CT scan and an exploratory surgery. Both cost us 18000$...We already paid over 6400$ for her last visit. While she's not in immediate danger anymore, she still needs vet checkups and medication.

We love our cat so much. She's only lived for 2 years. She's our baby and we want to try our best to help her. So really, if you'd like to donate, anything helps. We just want to help Mia. Thank you so so much.
