Man, you are never prepared for the loss of a close friend. Two things I’ve learned is there is nothing anyone can tell you that will make it easier or better and grief comes in waves- it hits you like a freight train when you least expect it. A song, a memory, a smell, a place.. anything can trigger that random thought.

Kevin was such an incredible human. Always checking in on people, always touching base to see how we were. He was the kindest man.. he would give you the shirt off his back if it meant it helped you even just a little. We have suffered a huge loss since his passing.

Kev lost his wife 4 years ago. It was such a devastating loss for everyone but especially for their two kids. With Kevin’s loss, they leave behind Hailee (14) and Kaden (17). The kids will be staying with Kevin’s girlfriend Rachel so that they can maintain as much of a ‘normal’ life as possible in their home, at their school and around their friends. Unfortunately, while they need time to process the situation and the emotions that come with, they also have funeral expenses and bills that are front and center.

We are hoping to raise enough funds to help Rachel & the kids with Kevin’s cremation, service arrangements and the mortgage/bills so they can take time necessary to grieve without having to worry about going right back to work.

The family has requested that we do not do a meal train as they’re not ready for large amounts of food but something that would be helpful is gift cards for restaurants and/or grocery stores. They are near Costco, Safeway, Trader Joes & Fred Meyer and they also have McDonalds, Subway, Panda Express, Applebee’s, Burgerville, Chipotle and Jersey Mikes Subs nearby.

Thank you for all of the love, messages, texts, phone calls and posts. Kevin was an amazing human and seeing everyone talk about the man he was really brings joy to us all. ♥️
