Help Liam Attend NYLF Pathways to STEM

It is our Joy that our child, Liam Jaxon Lesmes, 9 years old, in third grade, has been nominated by Educator Alexis Zaner of Bowdon Elementary School to participate in the NATIONAL YOUTH LEADERSHIP FORUM(NYLF): Pathways to STEM, and Envision by WorldStrides program to be held at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and Campbell University outside of Raleigh, NC this summer, 2025.

Only bright, highly motivated students are singled out by their teachers for nomination to NYLF Pathways to STEM. We are very proud of this Achievement.

Liam was selected because Educator Zaner recognizes exceptional maturity, scholastic merit, and leadership potential even at this young age.

NYLF Pathways to Stem is designed to give future leaders like Liam an unparalleled opportunity while still in elementary school to discover their personal strengths and to begin to acquire the leadership and life skills needed for academic and career success.

Liam will join other young students from around the region to intensive, engaging, hands-on workshops focused on five skills that are essential to success: emotional awareness, communication, collaboration critical thinking, and goal setting.

Liam also will have the opportunity to explore a future career in three exciting STEM pathways: medicine, engineering, and crime scene investigation (CSI).

Liam will even practice medical techniques during a realistic simulation titled When Care Is Hours Away. This special session was created by the late wilderness medicine expert Dr. Paul Auerbach and simulation expert Dr Rebecca Smith-Coggins while professors in the department of Emergency Medicine at Stanford University's School of Medicine.

Many parents of the NYLF Pathways to STEM participants marvel at the personal growth their children experience. There is simply no comparable development program for children at this age.
