Kevin's road to recovery after skylight fall
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Michelle, and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of my fiancé, Kevin, who suffered a severe fall on June 6, 2025, that has completely turned our lives upside down. Kevin fell almost 30 feet through a sky light while on a roof. He was med-flighted to Boston where he could get the best trauma care possible. This tragic accident left him with very serious spinal cord injuries, broken ribs and a brain bleed. He has a really long road to recovery including multiple surgeries and rehab. He will be fighting hard to regain movement in his legs and feet. He will not be able to work for a long time while he recovers. I would love for Kevin’s only focus to be on getting better and for him to not have to worry about anything else.
Kevin is a devoted father, partner, and he’s an incredibly hard worker. Before his injury, he loved going to the gym — it was his happy place, where he felt strong, focused, and alive. One of my deepest hopes is that, with time, healing, and support, he’ll be able to return to it one day. As Kevin remains in the hospital, our family is doing everything we can to be by his side—but everyday life continues. Financial responsibilities haven’t stopped, even though our world has come to a sudden stop. We have 4 children who still need to be cared for and provided for, a home, bills, etc. We don’t yet know the extent of how much care and help Kevin will need, but it is very likely that I will have to take time off from work to help care for him. Unfortunately, I will be able to receive just 5 paid days of leave. This safety net will allow us to focus on what matters most, Kevin’s rehabilitation, and we’re forever grateful for all of the incredibly generous donations.
If you’ve ever met Kevin, you know his heart. And if you haven’t, we hope his story touches yours. Any donation—no matter how small—will help us hold things together while we work toward the day Kevin can come home. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for reading, for caring, and for showing up for our family. If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page. That alone could mean everything. With love and gratitude, Michelle & Family
