Hello all,
I’m reaching out on behalf of my best friend Brittany Liu - someone who has brought so much light, laughter, and joy into my life and into the lives of everyone she meets. She’s the kind of person who lights up a room with her smile, her love for music, and her kind, radiant energy. She’s pure-hearted and fiercely loving. And right now, she needs our help.
Almost three years ago, while rehearsing for a play at the McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ, Brittany suffered a serious concussion. The injury was devastating and she was forced to leave the show and found herself battling constant pain, dizziness, nausea, and jaw issues.
At the time, Brittany was living her dream in New York City, building her acting career. But her symptoms never went away. After months of struggling to perform, she made the heartbreaking decision to leave the industry she loved. She took on a 9-to-5 job just to make ends meet, but even that proved too demanding as her symptoms worsened. In April 2025, she had to leave that job too.
She moved in with her sister in North Carolina to focus on recovery. Through all of this, Brittany has remained determined and hopeful in her search for healing.
Recently, she found a clinic with a strong track record of helping people with long-term concussion symptoms: The Functional Neurology Center: Concussion Clinic & Traumatic Brain Injury in Minneapolis. It offers real hope. But, like most concussion recovery centers, it doesn’t take insurance. The cost of treatment, travel, meals, and other medical bills is $17,000.
I’m asking our community to come together to help Brittany finally get the care she needs and deserves. She’s been fighting this invisible injury with courage and grace. Now, I’m reaching out in hopes we can help lift some of the burden off her shoulders.
Every donation, no matter how small, gets her one step closer to healing. If you can give, please do. If you can’t, please consider sharing this with your network.
Thank you so much for helping Brittany take this next step toward getting her life back.
