At 71, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Lung Cancer on September 1, 2020.
It had already metastasized to my ribs and spine. To say it was a shock would be an understatement, as I have always enjoyed exceptionally good health most of my life and had maintained an active lifestyle of fitness for some time.
All that changed that day and over the next few weeks as treatments began and the impact of it all began to affect my body and mental sharpness.
As a small business owner, the COVID lockdown earlier had already dramatically impacted my ability to meet with new prospective clients and my income dropped significantly. Then with the cancer diagnosis on September first, my increased expenses added at least another $1000 a month in outlays and deductibles.
My goal is to be able to meet all the bills that normally come in as well as the medical expenses of prescriptions, exams, etc. that I'll continue to have going forward.
I’ve donated to GoFundMe pages before but never expected to be on the receiving end in need, and it is humbling.
Having said this, my wife and I could really use your help.
So, if you would like to help, it is something we would deeply appreciate.
