ISOC Iftar Meals for students during Ramadan

السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ ٱللَّهِ وَبَرَكاتُهُ‎

Peace be upon you as well as God's mercy and blessings.

Here at the University of Portsmouth’s ISOC we will be giving iftar during the holy month of Ramadan for all students and staff within the university. We will appreciate any donation for the free meals we are offering for everyone in this holy month, so please donate whatever you can. Any amount will be helpful, Insha'Allah (God Willing). We appreciate any other forms of aid such as giving food or other resources, just contact us below (contact fundraiser)

Allah exalted is he says (Qur'an 2:274);

- "Those who spend their wealth [in Allah 's way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly - they will have their reward with their Lord.

And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve"

The Prophet peace be upon him said;

- “Whoever gives iftaar to one who is fasting will have a reward like his, without that detracting from the reward of the fasting person in the slightest"

(Saheeh al-Jaami, 6415)

The Prophet (peace be upon him) would give charity throughout the year but increase his sadaqa during Ramadan.

This is one of many opportunities to maximize our rewards during this blessed month, so let’s give what we can and make the most of it.
