Hello, my name is Alexandra.

I arrived in the United States on June 10th. I am currently a Ukrainian refugee living in Florida with an amazing woman Gina, who is letting me stay with her for free and is doing everything she can to help me.

My father was a volunteer for the army of Ukraine, directly helping the brigades in Kharkiv, Ukraine (the city where we are from), and my mother was living here with me. Recently my 45-year-old father had a stroke and my mom had to fly back to Ukraine to help him. Unfortunately, 15 minutes after she spoke to him, he passed away.

I turned 18 the day after my mother left the U.S. I just got my driver's license and am finishing up my fall semester at PBSC. While James, a financial advisor from Palm Beach State College is helping me fund my next semester, it is still uncertain if they will be able to.

I would really appreciate any help that I can get so that I am also able to help my mother in Ukraine when she needs it.
