Cancer SUCKS!!!! No Obligation but anything helps

HI, my name is Tara. I write this with a heavy heart. My cousin Lauren who is an amazing Mom, wife, aunt, friend, Cuz, daughter and sister was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. She is a fighter an this will NOT DEFEAT HER! I have elected to start a go fund me because the expenses are out of this world. Now this being said she is and definitely going to kill me for sharing and doing this because she is in my eye's super woman. I have enclosed a screen shot of when she announced to her friends and family. I ask you take a moment to look and to help. Deciding to post this now because I figure the more love and prayers that come our way, the better. Back in early Nov. I had been having some pains in my lower abdomen that I felt like maybe a cyst of some sort. I kind of ignored it being that it was my busy time of year, and because I procrastinate with everything in my life. Then in Dec, my upper abdomen started swelling to where it was hard as a rock, and filled with fluid. I literally looked like I was in my third trimester of pregnancy. I went and got checked out and because of my family I was able to get CAT scans and tests right away. The next day I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer and had an 11 cm mass on my ovary. Upon further scans, it was shown that it had spread through my abdomen. January 8th I had an 11 hour surgery which removed my ovaries, uterus, spleen, gallbladder, parts of my bowels and colon and nodes peeled off of my diaphragm and heart. They also removed 8 1/2 L of fluid. It was unexpected, the amount of organs they took out, but they had to take out all they could see and feel. Now I’m on my journey through chemotherapy, to get rid of whatever residual is hanging out in my body. Started losing my hair last week, so I just decided to shave it all off and rock the GI Jane look for a bit. Jax and Joell helped me shave it, and have been absolutely amazing through all of this. Joell has been doing EVERYTHING since December and literally has not let me lift a finger. Not like I cooked anyway, but he has been a rockstar and I don’t know what I would’ve done without him. My friends and family have been amazing as well, bringing food, sending flowers and gifts, and just really helping out any way they can. Feels good to have so many people in my corner. ❤️ I feel ok for now, a bit run down and weak, which is hard for me, but I will beat this. I don’t know what stage I’m in, and honestly don’t want to know, because what I do know is that I’m moving FORWARD in my healing. I’m staying positive, eating right, and fighting like hell, because I’m not done here yet. I want to watch my son grow up. I’ve been strong my whole life, and now is not the time to let this shit win. #positivevibes
