Alpha Chi Omega's Eta chapter is holding a spring philanthropy event on Tuesday April 18th at 7pm! This event is meant to honor all those affected by domestic violence, which is an issue that touches more people than we realize. At A Walk in Their Shoes, there will be an opportunity to participate in a walk while wearing high heels, to recognize the overwhelmingly large statistic of women that are impacted by domestic violence. Although we are using high heels in the races, the event will acknowledge and honor everyone affected. Raising awareness is extremely important to our chapter, and all the proceeds will be given to our local crisis center, Transitions, located right here in Lewisburg. Transitions is a center that provides advocacy, empowerment, and education to victims, survivors, families, and communities to end patterns of violence and abuse.
