Noah’s Top Surgery Fund

My name is Noah and I am a 26 year old trans man living in Dublin. Firstly, thank you so much for checking out this GoFundMe!

I have been out as trans and living as the man I am for about 6 years now. When  I first came out I was desperate to have top surgery but my home situation and my mental health made that impossible. This has led to a lot mental anguish and discomfort over the years and has stopped me doing things I love, like kayaking, because I physically cannot face my current body. 

I know that for me to live a happy and healthy life I need to medically transition and for me that looks like testosterone and top surgery. I started testosterone in December and this GoFundMe is me starting the process to get top surgery. I don’t know how to explain how much I need top surgery but I think sharing with you thatI have broken a rib from binding, and still bind says a lot. Binding for me is not something I can continue to do long term because of the effects and damage it is doing to my ribs- I need top surgery. 

This fundraiser is to help cover the costs of top surgery, travel and aftercare expenses, and all of that is going to me living a happier life in my body. I have decided to go through GenderGP to get my referral letter for Surgeon Miles Berry in London. I am going abroad and privately as currently the wait times, publicly in Ireland are obscene, made only worse with Covid19. 

My partner and I both work full times jobs and both have little side businesses that we have started in order to try and get as much money as we can together for my top surgery but I know that I need some help, which is where this GoFundMe comes in. Please consider sharing this fundraiser, even if you cannot donate, and justknow that every euro means the world and I am beyond thankful and grateful. 

For a cost break down: my referral letter is 150£, the top surgery itself is approximately 8000£, accommodation and travel will be determined  when I have a better idea of date because rates are fluctuating a lot right now.
