Hello,

My name is Isabella. I am an 8th grade student at Britton Middle School in Morgan Hill, Ca. I am writing to you as I am working on a very special school project that I would like you to be a part of. I am a member of a club in our school called the Volcano Kids Club. This coming April, I have an opportunity to go on a weeklong expedition to the rain forest of Costa Rica. This is a long-term project, as I will be studying volcanoes the flora and fauna of the rain forest. While I am in Costa Rica with a group of my classmates, teachers and parents, I will be up close to a volcano and up close to the unique wildlife of Costa Rica.

I am asking for your help with my project. The cost of the expedition is $2,300. I am working very hard to raise some of the money to help pay for the project. Would you please consider helping me by sponsoring me on this project? I am asking for small donations that will help me with the cost of the expedition. If you would like to donate a gift for our project, I can use the gift in a raffle or silent auction. Every little bit helps.

I would like to know a little about myself. I love school and especially science, my grades in school are all A’s and B’s. I hope to attend a California university and get a job in a science or math field. To help raise some of the funds for my project, I will be doing a “nickel drive”, selling chocolate covered pretzels, snow cones, ice cream floats, hot chocolate and performing community service.

Upon my return from my expedition I would love to share my experience with you and send you pictures of my expedition.
