My name is Cheyenne Salsman. I was a passenger in a vehicle on the night of September 13th, 2025. Little did I know my life would forever be impacted that night. I was 7 months pregnant when the driver hit a guardrail head-on. I shattered the windshield with my head because the airbags never deployed in the vehicle.
When I arrived at the hospital, my baby still had a heartbeat, but only a few short hours of being there, my whole world shattered when I got the news that my baby girl's heart no longer had a beat, and I was going to have to deliver her knowing she would only be in my arms for a few short moments. I was induced the next morning and had to wait for those few short moments that I would have with my baby. My daughter was born on September 14th, 2025, weighing 3 pounds. I named her Axavia Lee Salsman. I decided to have her cremated, and I'll have a small service for her at a later date where she will be buried with my great grandma.
