Steve's battle with Liver Cancer

Donation protected
Hello everyone, my name is Bre Rusch and I am writing to ask this with love and a very heavy heart on behalf of my best friend Stephanie Giraudo/Moore and her brother Joe Giraudo for their father, Steve Giraudo, and his battle with an unforgiving word we all know as cancer. Before I ask this of anyone who is reading, I would like to tell Steve’s story. On January 02, 2017 Steve Giraudo was diagnosed with stage 4 Liver Cancer and was ultimately given a very short six months survival due to the fact that the cancer had already spread throughout more than 50% of his liver. After receiving this terrible news, Steve decided that he wanted to obtain a second opinion and then headed to California Pacific Medical Center based in San Francisco, CA. Steve headed to San Francisco with an undeniable hope that this medical center could help him receive a liver transplant, but instead, Steve was told that his cancer had spread outside of his liver and started to infect other vital organs in his body. Unfortunately, due to the fact that his cancer has spread, Steve is no longer a candidate for a liver transplant and was also told by this doctor that he has six months to live. Recently, Steve has been undergoing a series of several tests to hopefully become a candidate for a clinical trial with an Oncologist based in San Francisco, CA. This trial was explained that the treatment provided to Steve will not cure his cancer, but, will ultimately give him more time to spend with his family within his last days of life. At this time, Steve’s health has taken a dramatic turn for the worse, since he has not been able to obtain treatment. As though it may seem that this story for Steve and his family is undeniably sorrowful, there is a “light at the end of the tunnel” factor, which has taken place throughout this journey. Steve and his daughter Stephanie Giraudo/Moore and his son Joe Giraudo have been reunited through these dark times and have been able to solidify beautiful relationships and memories together as a family and that, as we all know, is nothing short of priceless. Please, everyone, I am asking that we help this family raise money to help pay for Steve’s service and cremation. Steve’s children are now raising families of their own and do not have the means to pay for a proper celebration of life. Any sort of donation would be so generous and appreciative. Thank you for your support!
