Earlier this year my mother, Kimberly Naranjo, was diagnosed with the rare terminal cancer mesothelioma. Those who know Kim know how kind, thoughtful and loving she is. She has gone through multiple physical trials in her life, and has remained so courageous and positive through it all.
Kimberly started chemotherapy in July, and will have her last cycle right before Christmas. Afterwards, she and her two kids will be moving in with family and she’ll be put on hospice. She will undergo an extremely invasive surgery in January, and begin radiation after she recovers. All with the hopes of improving her quality of life, and extending her time left on earth. Throughout all of this, she has been an inspiration. She is unshakeably positive and motivated to do all she can to heal. She has been a rock for her two children.
As her condition has worsened, she has had to resign from a job she loves, and has no income. This has forced a great strain on being able to financially support necessities like her home, her car, her medical bills and much more. She is having to sell her home, and move, causing her children to leave their friends and ward, and attend a new school in the new year.
With this, I ask you from the very bottom of my heart if it is within your means to help financially, to please donate. I also ask that you please extend your prayers, your thoughts, and your love to my mom. At the end of the day, we trust and know the Lord will provide a way to make it through this season. We are grateful for all of those who have already shown her so much grace and love and support to her, we are grateful for those of you here and now by taking the time to even read all of this, and we are grateful for those who will support my mom in the future.
Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for the wonderful care my mom has received thus far.
