This is our friend Brandon. He is a hardworker, a goof that always tries to make people laugh, a generous neighbor, and a great friend who always goes out of his way to lend a hand to fix something, support, or listen to others. He has recently suffered a laceration that has severed a tendon, and he’s lost all movement and feeling in his left index finger, requiring immediate surgery.
Brandon has been deeply involved in the Richmond rock climbing community for over 10 years, and spends his days working as a routesetter at the climbing gym during the day, coaching kids in the evenings, and working on woodworking commissions on the side any chance he gets - all of which are jobs that heavily rely on his hand dexterity.
This means he will be out of work for weeks, likely months. Every penny helps with lost income, surgery costs, rent, and groceries. If he could make a cutting board or carve a spoon for everyone who donated, he would!
This is following a tough year for Brandon - Just in the last year his car has been t-boned and totaled, his catalytic converter stolen, and a separate injury leading to out of pocket medical expenses.
Between the difficulty of this past year, the injury itself and being out of work for the foreseeable future, lets see if we can help provide a little relief whether it is used for medical bills, rent, food, etc. He would hate to ask, but we know sometimes community and friends can do cool things when coming together. Even just a kind thought sent his way can make a difference if you can’t donate!
