Jona, a single mother, after the loss of her 14 year old daughter a few years back, was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic thyroid cancer. After surgery and radiation a few months ago, she is considered cancer free as of now (we are SO blessed) but with the specialty doctors and treatment needed and all of this happening after the loss of her daughter, the medical bills are just piling up. She is still raising a 14 year old boy at home and works a full time job as a retired veteran; now civilian worker on base. She never complains, works very hard at her job, and I honestly had no idea how much debt was building up until this past month. Anyone who knows my mom, knows she is an amazing woman who would and always has given her shirt off her back and her last dime to others. I would just love to try and relieve a little of her debt if anyone has a dollar to give. Thank you SO much.
