Help Bobby Fight for his Family

On November 11th, 2021, Bobby went to the emergency room thinking he was having a heart attack. After a series of tests, he was told it was very likely he had lymphoma(A cancer that affects the immune system). They admitted him and ran more tests. He was diagnosed with stage 4 CLL (Chronic Lymphocytic Lukemia).

CLL is a blood cancer. It starts in the bone marrow where blood cells are made, and alters the way the body produces these cells. The body produces something called B-Cells, which are a specific type of white blood cell that in turn produces immunoglobullins(antibodies) which are a large part of what protects your body from infection and disease. With CLL, the B-Cells become cancerous, and the body produces more of them, which takes up space where normal healthy cells would be made.

Further testing was done both to get information on the progression of the CLL, and to determine why he felt like he was having a heart attack. They did a chemical stress test to look at his heart and check for irregularities, but the results came back normal, so the problem wasn't the heart.

November 14th, 2021, the doctor explained that the reason for his chest pain and feeling like he was having a heart attack was the CLL. Because CLL causes production of B-Cells, there are more white blood cells running around his body. White blood cells are thicker than red, so it's basically thick blood clogging his heart not allowing it to pump freely.
They were going to do a biopsy of his lymph node to further confirm CLL, but decided against it after getting blood results back, they were able to determine that it was advanced enough to definitively say that he is in stage 4 CLL and it is most likely terminal. Without further testing, they would not be able to determine the severity or a time frame.

Since he has no insurance or money to pay for doctors and treatments, he is not capable of getting answers to those questions at this time. Due to the current financial situation, he can't afford the treatments, which are imperative for survival.

He is the sole caretaker for his vietnam veteran father whose health is not great, as well as his uncle who has advanced Parkinsons' disease.

He's not ready to give up, wants to and needs to fight for his family. He hates having to ask for help, but at this point doesn't really have a choice. Anything anyone can donate would be very appreciated, and very helpful. Even if you can't donate, just sharing this page would be very helpful to us.
