First I want to share who I am. My name is Katie and my mom has breast cancer. I really want to give her everything she needs during this difficult time but on a special education teacher salary, that is very hard. Friday October 9, 2015, I will be donating my hair for my fifth time. This time is special and very special reason to donate. I want to make a wig for my mom out of my hair. How amazing would it be to see my mom go through all of this with a wig made out of my hair?! Having a reminder to my mom that I am with her always with my hair is the most amazing thing I can think of. 
My mom was diagnosed again with breast cancer after 17 years of being in remission after her first go round. My mom is the strongest person I know and I get my strength from her. 
This wig would make going through chemo manageable knowing that I am there with her. The money that is raised will go towards the new wig and nothing else. I do not plan on using it for any other reason. The money will go right to the company to make the wig for my mom. 
I need to do this on the quicker side so my hair can be used and my mom can get her wig quicker. 
My mom gave me life and I want to give her my hair.
