AWD National Futsal Championships

Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to share an incredible opportunity for me and asking for your support. I have been selected in the Queensland AWD team (Athletes with Disabilities) to participate in the National Futsal Championships in Melbourne next January 7th-11th, 2025. This is an incredible chance for me to represent Queensland, and with your help, I can get there!

My Journey

A few years ago, I sustained a traumatic brain injury while playing football/soccer. The impact caused a brain bleed, leading to multiple surgeries and a long hospital stay. Though the road to recovery was challenging, I was determined to beat the odds. I am currently back at work, in a permanent-part time capacity, and doing what I love. Although I have ongoing daily challengers, the journey has only strengthened my passion to fulfill my commitments and prove that setbacks don’t define us.

Why I Need Your Support

The AWD National Championships are an opportunity for me to push my limits and inspire others by sharing my story. There are significant costs associated with competing in Melbourne, including travel, accommodations, insurances and registration fees. Your support, whether big or small, would mean the world to me and would help make this dream a reality.
