AWAMO's Ukraine Animal Project

Animals in the Ukraine are being displaced as their owners flee the conflict zone into Poland at a staggering rate. Food and medication are hard to find once they finally reach safety.

The Australian War Animal Memorial Organisation Inc. (AWAMO), have a container load of food and medication supplies ready to be shipped to Poland. The Polish Embassy in Australia has directed AWAMO to several Polish NGOs to coordinate with. As such we are sending a shipment to APAW who coordinate local run animal welfare groups which deliver aid across the Ukraine. They also aid displaced, or rescued animals sheltered in Poland. AWAMO has also been advised of the most distressing news of all, animals are starving and dying in zoos and farms across Ukraine. To help save these animals affected by war AWAMO will also be purchasing fodder and other fresh food, essentials that will be delivered directly them in-situ. One of these is a Bear Sanctuary in the southern region

Your donation will directly support lifesaving work to protect animals in Ukraine. Funds will be used to transport both a shipping container to Poland and internal transportation throughout Ukraine. In addition, two AWAMO representatives to supervise the distribution of emergency food relief to the areas that is most in need in-situ.

I want to thank everyone who donated to the fund previously which enabled the first shipment of food and medication to reach the Ukraine and the animals that were in need. The next stage of the Ukraine project is sending over a second aid shipment plus an animal ambulance and mobile veterinary facilities to reach isolated villages.We need your help to get the shipment there by container. We need your help to buy the vehicle and kit out this mobile veterinary clinic.With Australian AWAMO staff being in Ukraine and working along side Ukraine NGOs we ensure that your donation gets to were it is most needed
