THE DOCUMENTARY

Awakening Dreams is the story of a multicultural couple connecting ancestral wisdom keepers of Latin-America in a dream-like journey.

The documentary tells the story of Hanna and Tarek, a Colombian-German couple, who met at the “Tribal Gathering Festival” during the outbreak of Covid-19 in March, 2020, whereafter they get physically separated for 7 months (border closures). Upon re-union they decide to visit various indigenous and conscious communities to learn about their ancient traditions and ancestral wisdom. From March 2021 until now, they have been visiting various communities in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru and they project to continue their journey going by boat from the Napo river in Ecuador to the Amazon river to Iquitos in Peru and then to Manaus in Brazil, as well as in a later journey to Mexico and Guatemala.

We are living in the time of the great forgetfulness of ancient traditions and ancestral wisdom! Indigenous communities and territories have been destroyed, oppressed and exploited and their wisdom and traditions are on the border of extinction. Awakening Dreams aims to give wisdom keepers an important voice so that we´ll be able to remember our origin and our ancient traditions, therefore encountering our true self as well as enhancing human consciousness and reconnecting with nature.

The documentary is half shot and the first half of the interview series is in post-production. For editing, private streaming services as well as ongoing with the second half of shooting we need your support. Your donations will have a great impact on the output!

ABOUT US & THE PROCESS

Hello, we are Hanna and Tarek, -Colombian visual artist and - German biologist and marine scientist. We are very excited to inform everyone that we have finished the first stage of production and are now beginning the post-production (editing and polishing) stage of our documentary with main focus on the interview series!

In March 2020, when the pandemic began, we met in Panama, Playa Chiquita Colon, where the “Tribal Gathering” indigenous tribe and music festival is held annually. This was the last official festival that took place worldwide as the Covid-19 world pandemic was starting.

The uniqueness of this film is to open a dialogue about the importance of ancestral wisdom, medicinal plants and communities, whether indigenous or not, who strive to safeguard an ancestral legacy and contribute to human transformation and the process of healing mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually through their knowledge and tools.

We believe that it is essential to value and disseminate these ancestral teachings, which have a significant impact on people's lives and on the care of our natural environment. Through this documentary, we seek to inspire others to recognize and appreciate the richness of these traditions, as well as encourage greater respect and awareness for the preservation of cultural and ecological diversity.

WHO WILL APPEAR IN THE FILM?

There are indigenous elders, authors, thinkers from different communities! So far we have interviewed the following people for this film:

* Querubín Queta Alvarado: Highest authority of the Cofán people, traditional medical, wise elder, main indigenous leader and healer of the Cofán indigenous community of the Colombian Amazon. His territory and life plan are based on the concepts of peace, human rights, equality and harmony, on the preservation of nature, as well as spiritual and cultural values. This year he turned 110 years old, and still has the lucidity to continue sharing the cosmovision of yagé, a medicine that he has been sharing with the world for many decades.

* María Antonia Shiguango: Grandmother eldress who knows the amazon Kichwa cosmovision, midwife and founder of the organization of women midwives in Napo-Ecuador. She had the vision of reclaiming indigenous ancestral knowledge and creating a space where Kichwa midwives could exercise their knowledge and receive a decent salary in return. Her mission began more than 30 years ago, during which time she dedicated herself to recruit and train midwives and healers to apply for financing and build what today constitutes an ancestral hospital in Archidona. She has extensive knowledge about medicinal plants and performs healing and cleansing with Sayri, the plant she has worked on for decades.

* Alonso del Rio: Peruvian musician, author, documentary filmmaker and conservationist, he is known primarily for his research related to master plants as tools for the expansion of consciousness and also for the creation of the genre “Medicinal Music”. He has worked mainly with Ayahuasca, a medicinal plant mixture from the Amazon rainforest and Wachuma, a medicinal plant from the Andes. He has spent 40 years dedicated to the study of sacred plants, as well as delving into the Andean and Amazonian cosmovision. His first book “Tawantinsuyo 5.0” is a sample of all this research, later he wrote ́ "The Four Altars". He directs the “Ayahuasca Ayllu” healing center and founded the “Wiñaypaq” intercultural school.

* Alejandro Sanzón: Co-founder of the “Ayllu Tiqsi Muyu” community settled in southern Colombia at the foot of the Galeras volcano “Urcunina”. Attentive student of many elders from various places in the Andes and the Amazon. He works with master plants and has traveled with those to various countries, accompanying processes of awakening one's memories, and is preserving the ancestral word within the new time. We also interviewed his wife Maria Alejandra Reyes, who leads the “Warmy Muyu”, a space where women's circles are held, in which they share knowledge about different medicinal plants as well as the medicinal chagra, and also delve into studies on the menstrual cycle.

* David Esteban Pupiales: Indigenous dancer from the Quillacinga indigenous council of the city of Pasto, Colombia, visual artist, founder and director of the “Danzantes Del Sur” indigenous dance school, he has carried out different research on dance and represents his community with the character of the “Dancing Devil” and the “Dancer of Seeds” in different international events, making his culture visible and known in various places of the world.

* Kamaski Rimachi: A Quechua hampiq (medicine man) and descendant of the Incas. This traditional Peruvian medical shares us his vision of the world and his connection with the coca leaf, its medicinal properties, and also tells us about the identity and collective memory of indigenous communities.

* Intiwari Yatiri: A walker and master on the path of ancestral wisdom of the Inca. He was born at the top of Lake Titicaca, where many stories of Inca mythology originated. Intiwari has a broad and valuable perspective on the Andean cosmovision. He is a family man who has been growing his own medicine on the land and is also a very prodigious musician bringing a message of healing and awakening of consciousness to the world. We had the honor to interview Intiwari together with wife Gea who has also studied medicinal plants and focuses on natural gynecology, women's circles and midwifery.

* Tito Verdaguer: Master of Reiki, Ju Jutsu, Medicinal Qi Gong and Meditation. His Reiki teacher was a Tibetan Buddhist nun ordained by the Dalai Lama and she has been his greatest inspiration. Tito owns a healing, teaching and retreat center called Bromelia in his home country of Ecuador where he imparts his knowledge and is actively helping many people in their healing processes.

* Nacho Rodríguez: Multidisciplinary musician and plant medicinal guide who was born in Chile. For more than 20 years, he has been committed to self-healing and self-knowledge, is a master of plant medicine who lives in the community of “La Pacha”, in the Sacred Valley of the Inca in Peru. He specializes in performing ceremonies where you delve into sound healing. He learned with his master Diego Palma, co-founder of the “Sacred Valley Tribe” and the Community “La Pacha”, who is resting in peace since 2019.

* Manuel Seminario Bisso: Peruvian activist elder dedicated to the production of integral products containing coca leaves. He is a true messenger of the Sacred Coca Leaf, convinced of its multiple benefits as food and medicine. Thus, he decided to go on a pilgrimage to all the towns of Abya Yala (America) for 7 years, in his Coca Mobile (campervan), to spread the benefits of this mother plant.

* Gilberto Lopez Ruiz Kaimeramuy: Wise elder and bearer of words from the Hiototo indigenous reservation, belonging to the Amazonian territory in Leticia, indigenous Muina Murui of the Yoriaɨ clan or People of the Poisonous Nettle. The elder weaves teachings with the focus of caring for the body, family, social relationships, nature, all in relationship to the spiritual plane.

* Senacio Suaye (Jate) & Asuzena Medina: Wise elder couple of the Mhuysqa community of Ráquira Boyacá (Colombia), activists in favor of the recovery of ancestral memory, supporting cultural recovery processes. The objective of their community is to apply ancestral knowledge to this time through the word and stories of origin.

*Milagros: Co-founder of the “Sacred Valley Tribe” and the “La Pacha” community, has studied medicinal plants since 2000. Guides different ceremonies and retreats. Wife of Diego Palma, co-founder of “La Pacha”, who is resting in peace since 2019.

We have been interviewing many more amazing people of which some will have a shared episode, others will be part of the bonus material of our journey as well as some will have small parts in the documentary. Moreover, this list will be growing with the second production phase.

WHAT IS THE BUDGET?

The first half of the documentary was shot self-funded, for which reason we had to take shooting breaks to get income to keep going. Since March 2021 we have spent around 12 months producing in the field (Amazonas: jungle, Andes: mountains) and the rest working, organizing, planning, editing, etc. This initiative is our personal drive and therefore we are not paid for this work in any form of money (so far).

So far we spent:

→ 5000€ for equipment

→ 20000€ for flights and other transportations, accommodations, support for communities & basic living costs during the shoot

→ > 1 year lifetime in service of filming for this work /pp in a 3 year process with this documentary!

We would like to continue filming along the Napo and Amazon river starting in Coca (Ecuador, Napo river) and going down to Iquitos (Peru. Amazon River) and up to Manaus (Brazil, Amazon River) visiting indigenous communities like the Shipibo-Conibo in Peru. Also we planned to visit Acre in Brazil to visit the Huni Kuin and the Yawanawá in their territories. In a later trip we would like to include the Mayan culture in Guatemala and Mexico, as well as the Toltec/Aztec culture in central Mexico and finally conclude our documentary.

We estimate that we will need around 5 to 7 months and 10000€ for the Amazon Jungle trip and around 4 to 6 months and another 10000€ for the Middle America trip.

We would love to repair and update our equipment which will cost around another 3000€.

We want to start publishing the first episodes of our interview series, while trying to keep post-production costs low and do a huge part ourselves. However, to obtain the best outcome we would like to optimize sound and video in the end which will cost around 5000€ for some first parts of the interview series.

We want to launch a website for the series, the documentary, our journey and other important projects and causes which will cost around 2000€.

In the end your support will be crucial to get some expert help for the post-production of the documentary which will have costs depending on multiple factors, especially on how elaborate we are deciding to construct the dream-like representations. This obviously depends on our budget, so please support us to co-create an amazing experience.

For this first seed funding round we set the funding goal rather low as for us the most important thing at the moment is to be able to start with the post-production of the interview series and to keep going with the production of the second part of the documentary. Therefore, we are hoping to reach the goal of 36000€ to be able to make the interview series as soon as possible available for you, as well as finish the film-production within one year. Everything above 36000€ supports our time- and pre- investment and improves the quality of the post-production.

COMPLETION DEADLINE?

The estimated time will be between 12 and 15 months to complete the second stage of film production and the base of post-production. To obtain the best results we will work with specialists to optimize colors, sounds and special effects. Depending on the budget, the external team and the promotion time, we will launch the film a few months later.

SOME IMPORTANT DETAILS

The Documentary “Awakening Dreams” will feature different languages, as Hanna and Tarek grew up in two different parts of the world speaking Spanish and German. Therefore the narrative will be in Spanish and German with English subtitles, some of the interview will be as well in native languages, obviously always with multiple subtitles so that everyone will understand them.

AWAKENING DREAMS Documental y Serie de Entrevistas

Awakening Dreams es la historia de una pareja multicultural que conecta a los guardianes de la sabiduría ancestral de América Latina en un viaje onírico.

El documental cuenta la historia de Hanna y Tarek, una pareja colombo-alemana, que se conocen en el “Tribal Gathering Festival” durante el brote de Covid-19 en marzo de 2020 (último festival en el inicio de la pandemia mundial), tras lo cual se separan físicamente durante 7 meses (cierre de fronteras). Al reencontrarse deciden visitar diversas comunidades indígenas y conscientes para conocer sus antiguas tradiciones y sabiduría ancestral. Desde marzo de 2021 a la fecha han visitado varias comunidades en Colombia, Ecuador y Perú y proyectaron continuar su viaje en lancha desde el río Napo en Ecuador hasta el río Amazonas en Iquitos - Perú y siguiendo hasta Manaus en Brasil; así posteriormente a México y Guatemala.

¡Vivimos en la época del gran olvido de las antiguas tradiciones y de la sabiduría ancestral! Muchas comunidades y territorios indígenas han sido destruidos, oprimidos y explotados y su sabiduría y tradiciones están al borde de la extinción. Awakening Dreams tiene como objetivo dar a los guardianes de la sabiduría una voz importante para que podamos recordar nuestro origen y nuestras tradiciones antiguas, encontrando así nuestro verdadero yo, mejorando la conciencia humana y re-conectándonos con la naturaleza.

ACERCA DE NOSOTROS Y EL PROCESO

Hola, somos Hanna y Tarek, artista visual colombiana y biólogo - científico marino de Alemania. ¡Estamos muy emocionados de informarles a todos que hemos terminado la primera etapa de producción y ahora estamos comenzando la etapa de postproducción (edición) de nuestro documental con enfoque principal en la serie de entrevistas!

En marzo de 2020, cuando comenzó la pandemia, nos encontramos en Panamá, Playa Chiquita Colón, donde anualmente se realiza el festival de música y tribus indígenas “Tribal Gathering”. Este fue el último festival oficial que tuvo lugar a nivel mundial antes que el Covid-19 comenzará.

La singularidad de esta película es abrir un diálogo sobre la importancia de la sabiduría ancestral, las plantas medicinales y las comunidades, ya sean indígenas o comunidades en general, que se esfuerzan por salvaguardar un legado ancestral y contribuir a la transformación humana y al proceso de la sanación mental, emocional, física y espiritual a través de sus saberes y herramientas.

Creemos que es fundamental valorar y difundir estas enseñanzas ancestrales, que tienen un impacto significativo en la vida de las personas y en el cuidado de nuestro entorno natural. A través de este documental, buscamos inspirar a otros a reconocer y apreciar la riqueza de estas tradiciones, así como fomentar un mayor respeto y conciencia hacia preservación de la diversidad cultural y ecológica.

¿QUIÉN APARECERÁ EN LA PELÍCULA?

¡Hay abuelos de comunidades indígenas, autores, pensadores de diferentes comunidades! Hasta ahora hemos entrevistado a las siguientes personas para esta película:

* Querubín Queta Alvarado: Máxima autoridad del pueblo cofán, médico tradicional, sabedor y principal líder indígena y curaca de la comunidad indígena Cofán de la Amazonía colombiana. Dentro de su territorio el plan de vida está basado en los conceptos de paz, derechos humanos, igualdad y armonía y en la preservación de la naturaleza, así como los valores espirituales y culturales. En este año cumplió 110 años, y aún tiene la lucidez para seguir compartiendo la cosmovisión del yagé, medicina que por muchas décadas ha estado compartiendo al mundo.

* María Antonia Shiguango: Abuela sabedora de la cosmovisión Kiwcha- Amazonica, partera y fundadora de la organización de mujeres parteras de Napo-Ecuador. Tuvo la visión de reivindicar los saberes ancestrales indígenas y crear un espacio donde las parteras kichwas pudieran ejercer sus conocimientos y recibir un salario digno a cambio. Su lucha inició hace más de 30 años, tiempo en el que se dedicó a reclutar y formar parteras y curanderas para juntas aplicar a financiamientos y construir lo que hoy conforma un hospital ancestral en Archidona. Tiene amplios conocimientos sobre plantas medicinales y realiza curaciones y limpiezas con Sayri, la planta sobre la que ha trabajado durante décadas.

*Alonso del Rio: Músico, escritor, documentalista y conservacionista peruano, es conocido principalmente por su investigación relacionada con las plantas maestras como herramientas para la expansión de la consciencia y también por la creación del género “Musica Medicinal”. Ha trabajado principalmente con la ayahuasca, una mezcla de plantas medicinales de la selva amazónica y Wachuma, una planta medicinal de los Andes. Lleva 40 años dedicado al estudio de plantas sagradas, así como a profundizar en la cosmovisión andina y amazónica. Su primer libro “Tawantinsuyo 5.0” es una muestra de todas estas investigaciones, posteriormente escribió “Los Cuatros Altares”. Dirige el centro de sanación Ayahuasca ayllu y fundó la escuela intercultural Wiñaypaq.

* Alejandro Sanzón: Cofundador de la comunidad “Ayllu Tiqsi Muyu” asentada en el sur de Colombia al pie del volcán Galeras “Urcunina”. Esmerado alumno de muchos mayores de distintos pueblos de los Andes y la Amazonia. Trabaja con plantas maestras y con ellas ha recorrido diversos países, acompañando procesos de despertar de las memorias propias y preservando la palabra ancestral dentro del nuevo tiempo. También entrevistamos a su esposa Maria Alejandra Reyes que lidera el “Warmy Muyu”, un espacio en donde se realizan círculos de mujeres y se comparten conocimientos sobre diferentes plantas medicinales, se realizan trabajos sobre la chagra medicinal, y estudios sobre el ciclo menstrual.

* David Esteban Pupiales: Danzante indígena del cabildo indígena Quillacinga de la ciudad de Pasto, Colombia, artista visual, fundador y director de la escuela de danza indígena “Danzantes Del Sur”, ha realizado diferentes investigaciones sobre danza y representado a su comunidad con el personaje del “Diablo Danzante” (y el “Danzante de las Semillas”) en diferentes eventos internacionales, llevando su cultura a ser visibilizada y conocida en varios lugares del mundo.

* Kamaski Rimachi: Un hampiq quechua (hombre medicina) y descendiente de los Incas. Este médico tradicional peruano nos comparte su visión del mundo y su conexión con la hoja de coca, sus propiedades medicinales, y también nos habla sobre la identidad y la memoria colectiva de las comunidades indígenas.

* Intiwari Yatiri: Un caminante y maestro en el sendero de la sabiduría ancestral de los Incas. Nació en lo alto del lago Titicaca, donde se originaron muchas historias de la mitología inca. Intiwari tiene una perspectiva amplia y valiosa de la cosmovisión andina. Es un hombre de familia que ha estado cultivando su propia medicina en la tierra y también es un músico muy prodigioso que desde la música ha llevado un mensaje de curación y despertar de la conciencia al mundo. También lo entrevistamos junto a su esposa Gea, quien también estudió plantas medicinales y se enfoca en ginecología natural, círculos de mujeres y partería.

* Tito Verdaguer: Maestro de Reiki, Ju-jutsu, Qi Gong Medicinal y Meditación. Su maestra de Reiki fue una monja budista tibetana ordenada por el Dalai lama y ha sido su máxima inspiración. Tito tiene un centro de sanación, enseñanza y retiro llamado Bromelia en Ecuador su país de origen donde imparte sus conocimientos y está activamente ayudando a muchas personas en procesos de sanación.

* Nacho Rodríguez: Músico multidisciplinario y guía de plantas medicinales nacido en Chile. Desde hace más de 20 años comprometido con la autocuración y el autoconocimiento, es un maestro de la medicina que habita en la comunidad de “La Pacha”, en el Valle Sagrado de Perú. Se especializa en realizar ceremonias donde se profundiza en la sanación sonora. Aprendió con su maestro Diego Palma, cofundador del “Sacred Valley Tribe” y de la Comunidad “La Pacha” (Diego Palma descansa en paz 2019).

* Manuel Seminario Bisso: Mayor activista peruano dedicado a la elaboración de productos integrales con hoja de coca. Es un verdadero Mensajero de la Sagrada Hoja de Coca, convencido de sus múltiples beneficios como alimento y medicina. Así, decidió peregrinar por todos los pueblos de Abya Yala (América) durante 7 años, en su Coca Móvil (autocaravana), para difundir las bondades de esta planta madre.

* Gilberto Lopez Ruiz Kaimeramuy: Abuelo sabedor y portador de palabra del resguardo indígena Hiototo, perteneciente al territorio amazónico en Leticia, indígena muina murui del clan Yoriaɨ o Gente de Ortiga Ponzoñosa. Este abuelo entreteje enseñanzas con el enfoque del cuidado del cuerpo, la familia, las relaciones sociales, la naturaleza, todo en relación con el plano espiritual.

* Senacio Suaye (Jate) & Asuzena Medina: Pareja de ancianos sabios de la comunidad Mhuysqa de Ráquira Boyacá (Colombia), activistas a favor de la recuperación de la memoria ancestral y apoyan procesos de recuperación cultural. El objetivo de su comunidad está en aplicar conocimientos ancestrales en este tiempo por medio de la palabra y las historias de origen.

*Milagros: Cofundadora del “Sacred Valley Tribe” y la comunidad “La Pacha”, ha estudiado plantas medicinales desde el año 2000. Guía diferentes ceremonias y retiros. Esposa de Diego Palma, cofundador de La Pacha, quien descansó en paz en 2019.

Hemos estado entrevistando a muchas más personas increíbles, de las cuales algunas tendrán un episodio compartido, otras serán parte del material extra de nuestro viaje y algunas tendrán pequeñas partes en el documental. Además, esta lista irá creciendo con la segunda fase de producción.

¿CUAL ES EL PRESUPUESTO?

La primera mitad del documental se rodó de forma autofinanciada, por lo que tuvimos que hacer pausas en el rodaje para conseguir ingresos para seguir adelante. Desde marzo de 2021 llevamos alrededor de 12 meses produciendo (Amazonas: selva, Andes: montañas) y el resto trabajando, organizando, planificando, editando, etc. Esta iniciativa es nuestro impulso personal y por lo tanto no nos pagan por este trabajo. en cualquier forma de dinero (hasta ahora).

Hasta ahora gastamos:

→ 5000€ para el equipamiento.

→ 20000€ para vuelos y otros transportes, alojamiento, apoyo a las comunidades y gastos de vida básicos durante el rodaje.

→ > 1 año de vida al servicio del rodaje de esta obra /pp en un proceso de 3 años con este documental!

Queremos continuar y filmar por el río Napo y Amazonas comenzando en Coca (Ecuador, río Napo) bajando hasta Iquitos (Perú. Río Amazonas) subiendo hasta Manaos (Brasil, Río Amazonas) visitando comunidades indígenas como los Shipibo-Conibo en Perú.

También planeamos visitar Acre en Brasil para visitar a los Huni Kuin y los Yawanawá en sus territorios. En un viaje posterior nos gustaría incluir la cultura maya en Guatemala y México, así como la cultura tolteca/azteca en el centro de México y finalmente concluir nuestro documental.

Estimamos que necesitaremos entre 5 y 7 meses y 10.000€ para el viaje a la selva del Amazonas y entre 4 y 6 meses y otros 10.000€ para el viaje a Centroamérica.

Nos encantaría reparar y actualizar nuestro equipo, que costará alrededor de otros 3000€.

Queremos empezar a publicar los primeros episodios de nuestra serie de entrevistas, mientras intentamos mantener bajos los costes de postproducción y hacer una gran parte nosotros mismos. Sin embargo, para obtener el mejor resultado nos gustaría optimizar el sonido y el vídeo al final, lo que costará alrededor de 5000€ para algunas primeras partes de la serie.

Queremos lanzar un sitio web para la serie, el documental, nuestro viaje y otros proyectos y causas importantes que costará alrededor de 2000€.

Al final su apoyo será crucial para conseguir ayuda experta para la postproducción del documental que tendrá costos dependiendo de múltiples factores, especialmente de qué tan elaborado estemos decidiendo hacer las representaciones oníricas. Esto depende de nuestro presupuesto, así que apoyanos a co-crear una experiencia increíble.

Para esta primera ronda de financiación inicial fijamos el objetivo de financiación bastante bajo ya que para nosotros lo más importante en este momento es poder empezar con la postproducción de la serie de entrevistas y continuar con la producción de la segunda parte del documental. Por lo tanto, esperamos alcanzar el objetivo de 36.000€ para poder poner a vuestra disposición la serie de entrevistas lo antes posible, así como terminar la producción cinematográfica en el plazo de un año. Todo lo que supere los 36.000€ respalda nuestra inversión previa y de tiempo y mejora la calidad de la postproducción.

¿PLAZO DE FINALIZACIÓN?

El tiempo estimado será entre 12 y 15 meses para completar la segunda etapa de la producción cinematográfica y la base de la postproducción. Para obtener los mejores resultados vamos a trabajar con especialistas para optimizar colores, sonidos y efectos especiales. Depende del presupuesto, del equipo externo y del tiempo de la promoción, vamos hacer el lanzamiento de la película unos meses después.

ALGUNOS DETALLES IMPORTANTES

El Documental “Awakening Dreams” contará con diferentes idiomas, ya que Hanna y Tarek crecieron en dos partes diferentes del mundo hablando español y alemán. Por lo tanto, la narración será en español y alemán con subtítulos en inglés, algunas de las entrevistas también serán en idiomas nativos, obviamente siempre con múltiples subtítulos para que todos los entiendan.

AWAKENING DREAMS Dokumentarfilm und Interviewreihe

Awakening Dreams ist die Geschichte eines multikulturellen Paares, welches die Weisheitshüter der Vorfahren Lateinamerikas auf einer traumhaften Reise verbindet.

Der Dokumentarfilm erzählt die Geschichte von Hanna und Tarek, einem kolumbianisch-deutschen Paar, das sich während des Ausbruchs von Covid-19 im März 2020 beim „Tribal Gathering Festival“ kennenlernt und anschließend sieben Monate lang physisch getrennt wird (Grenzschließungen). Nach der Wiedervereinigung beschließen sie, verschiedene indigene und bewusste Gemeinschaften zu besuchen, um mehr über ihre alten Traditionen und die Weisheit ihrer Vorfahren zu erfahren. Von März 2021 bis heute haben sie verschiedene Gemeinden in Kolumbien, Ecuador und Peru besucht und planen, ihre Reise mit dem Boot vom Napo-Fluss in Ecuador zum Amazonas-Fluss hinunter nach Iquitos in Peru und dann hinauf nach Manaus in Brasilien fortzusetzen, sowie eine spätere Reise nach Mexiko und Guatemala.

Wir leben in einer Zeit des großen Vergessens alter Traditionen und der Weisheit unserer Vorfahren! Indigene Gemeinschaften und Gebiete wurden zerstört, unterdrückt und ausgebeutet und ihre Weisheit und Traditionen sind vom Aussterben bedroht. Awakening Dreams zielt darauf ab, den Hütern der Weisheit eine wichtige Stimme zu geben, damit wir uns an unsere Herkunft und unsere alten Traditionen erinnern und so unserem wahren Selbst begegnen, das menschliche Bewusstsein stärken und uns wieder mit der Natur verbinden können.

Der Dokumentarfilm ist zur Hälfte gedreht und die erste Hälfte der Interviewreihe befindet sich in der Postproduktion. ÜBER UNS & DEN PROZESS

Hallo, wir sind Hanna und Tarek, - kolumbianische, visuelle Künstlerin und - deutscher Biologe und Meereswissenschaftler. Wir freuen uns sehr, allen mitteilen zu können, dass wir die erste Produktionsphase abgeschlossen haben und nun mit der Post-Produktionsphase (Schnitt und Feinschliff) unseres Dokumentarfilms beginnen, wobei zunächst der Schwerpunkt auf der Interviewreihe liegt!

Im März 2020, als die Pandemie begann, trafen wir uns in Panama, Playa Chiquita Colon, wo jährlich das indigene Stammes- und Musikfestival „Tribal Gathering“ stattfindet. Dies war das letzte offizielle Festival, das weltweit stattfand, da die weltweite Covid-19-Pandemie gerade begann.

Die Einzigartigkeit dieses Films besteht darin, einen Dialog über die Bedeutung der Weisheit der Vorfahren, der Heilpflanzen und der Gemeinschaften, ob einheimisch oder nicht, zu eröffnen, welche danach streben das Erbe der Vorfahren zu bewahren und zur menschlichen Transformation als auch zum Heilungsprozess auf körperlicher, emotionaler, geistiger und spiritueller Ebene mit Hilfe ihres Wissen und ihrer Werkzeuge beizutragen.

Wir glauben, dass es wichtig ist, diese überlieferten Lehren wertzuschätzen und zu verbreiten, da sie einen erheblichen Einfluss auf das Leben der Menschen und auf die Fürsorge unserer natürlichen Umwelt haben. Mit diesem Dokumentarfilm möchten wir andere dazu inspirieren, den Reichtum dieser Traditionen kennenzulernen und zu schätzen, und gleichzeitig zu mehr Respekt und Bewusstsein zur Bewahrung der kulturellen und ökologischen Vielfalt ermutigen.

WER WIRD IM FILM AUFTRETEN?

Es treten indigene Weisheitshütter, Autoren und Denker aus verschiedenen Gemeinschaften auf! Bisher haben wir folgende Personen für diesen Film interviewt:

* Querubín Queta Alvarado: Höchste Autorität des Cofán-Volkes, traditioneller Mediziner, weiser Ältester, wichtigster indigener Anführer und Heiler der Cofán-Indigenen Gemeinschaft im kolumbianischen Amazonasgebiet. Sein Territorium und sein Lebensplan basieren auf den Konzepten von Frieden, Menschenrechten, Gleichheit und Harmonie, auf der Erhaltung der Natur sowie spirituellen und kulturellen Werten. In diesem Jahr ist er 110 Jahre alt geworden und hat immer noch die Klarheit, weiterhin die Kosmovision von Yagé zu teilen, einer Medizin, die er seit vielen Jahrzehnten mit der Welt teilt.

* María Antonia Shiguango: Eine weise Großmutter, die die Kichwa-Kosmovision des Amazonasgebiets kennt, Hebamme und Gründerin der Organisation weiblicher Hebammen in Napo-Ecuador. Sie hatte die Vision, das Wissen der indigenen Vorfahren zurückzugewinnen und einen Raum zu schaffen, in dem Kichwa-Hebammen ihr Wissen anwenden und im Gegenzug ein angemessenes Gehalt erhalten konnten. Ihre Mission begann vor mehr als 30 Jahren. Während dieser Zeit widmete sie sich der Rekrutierung und Ausbildung von Hebammen und Heilern, was dazu beitrug, die Finanzierungen zu beantragen, um ein heute angestammtes Krankenhaus in Archidona zu bauen. Sie verfügt über umfassende Kenntnisse bezüglich Heilpflanzen und führt Heilungen und Reinigungen mit Sayri durch, der Pflanze, mit der sie seit vielen Jahrzehnten arbeitet.

* Alonso del Rio: Peruanischer Musiker, Autor, Dokumentarfilmer und Naturschützer. Er ist vor allem für seine Forschungen zu Meisterpflanzen als Werkzeug zur Bewusstseinserweiterung und auch für die Schaffung des Genres „Medizinmusik“ bekannt. Er hat hauptsächlich mit Ayahuasca, einer Heilpflanzenmischung aus dem Amazonas-Regenwald, und Wachuma, einer Heilpflanze aus den Anden, gearbeitet. Er hat sich 40 Jahre lang der Erforschung heiliger Heilpflanzen gewidmet und hat sich außerdem mit der Kosmovision der Anden und des Amazonas tiefgründig befasst. Sein erstes Buch „Tawantinsuyo 5.0“ ist ein Beispiel für all diese Forschungen, später schrieb er „Die vier Altäre". Er leitet das “Ayahuasca Ayllu-Heilzentrum” und gründete die interkulturelle Schule “Wiñaypaq”.

* Alejandro Sanzón: Mitbegründer der “Ayllu Tiqsi Muyu-Gemeinschaft”, die sich im Süden Kolumbiens am Fuße des Galeras-Vulkans „Urcunina“ niedergelassen hat. Aufmerksamer Schüler vieler Weisheitshütter aus verschiedenen Orten in den Anden und im Amazonasgebiet. Er arbeitet mit Meisterpflanzen und ist mit diesen in verschiedene Länder gereist, begleitet Prozesse der Erinnerungserweckung, bewahrt das Wort unserer Ahnen in der neuen Zeit. Wir haben auch seine Frau Maria Alejandra Reyes interviewt, die das „Warmy Muyu“ leitet, einen Ort, an dem Frauenkreise abgehalten werden, in denen Wissen über verschiedene Heilpflanzen, als auch des medizinischen Chagras, und Studien zum Menstruationszyklus ausgetauscht wird.

* David Esteban Pupiales: Indigener Tänzer vom Quillacinga-Indigenenrat der Stadt Pasto, Kolumbien, visueller Künstler, Gründer und Leiter der indigenen Tanzschule „Danzantes Del Sur“, er hat verschiedene Forschungen zum Thema Tanz durchgeführt und vertritt seine Kommune mit den Charakter des „Tanzenden Teufels“ und des „Tänzers der Samen“ in verschiedenen internationalen Veranstaltungen, wodurch er seine Kultur in einigen Teilen der Welt bekannt und sichtbar macht.

* Taita Kamaski: Ein Quechua-Hampi (Medizinmann) und Weisheitshütter der Nachkommen der Inkas. Dieser traditionelle peruanische Mediziner teilt mit uns seine Vision der Welt und seine Verbindung zum Kokablatt und seinen medizinischen Eigenschaften und erzählt uns auch von der Identität und dem kollektiven Gedächtnis der indigenen Kommunen.

* Intiwari Yatiri: Ein Wanderer und Meister auf dem Weg der Weisheit der Vorfahren der Inka. Er wurde an der Spitze des Titicacasees geboren, wo viele Geschichten der Inka-Mythologie ihren Ursprung haben. Intiwari hat eine umfassende und wertvolle Perspektive auf die Kosmovision der Anden. Er ist ein Familienvater, der auf dem Land seine eigene Medizin anbaut, und außerdem ein hervorragender Musiker, der der Welt eine Botschaft der Heilung und des Erwachens des Bewusstseins überbringt. Wir hatten die Ehre, Intiwari zusammen mit seiner Frau Gea zu interviewen, die ebenfalls Heilpflanzen studiert hat und sich auf natürliche Gynäkologie, Frauenkreise und Geburtshilfe (Hebamme) spezialisiert hat.

* Tito Verdaguer: Meister in Reiki, Ju-Jutsu, medizinischem Qi Gong und Meditation. Seine Reiki-Lehrerin war eine vom Dalai Lama ordinierte tibetisch-buddhistische Nonne und sie war seine größte Inspiration. Tito besitzt in seinem Heimatland Ecuador ein Heil-, Lehr- und Retreat-Zentrum namens Bromelia, wo er sein Wissen weitergibt und vielen Menschen aktiv bei ihren Heilungsprozessen hilft.

* Nacho Rodríguez: Multidisziplinärer Musiker und Heilpflanzen-Guide, geboren in Chile. Seit mehr als 20 Jahren engagiert er sich für Selbstheilung und Selbsterkenntnis, ist ein Meister der Pflanzenheilkunde und lebt in der Gemeinde “La Pacha” im Heiligen Tal der Inka in Peru. Er ist auf die Durchführung von Zeremonien spezialisiert, die sich mit Klangheilung befassen. Er lernte von seinem Meister Diego Palma, Mitbegründer des “Sacred Valley Tribe” und der Gemeinde „La Pacha“, der seit 2019 in Frieden ruht.

* Manuel Seminario Bisso: Peruanischer weiser Aktivist, der sich der Herstellung integraler Kokablatt-Produkte widmet. Er ist ein wahrer Bote des “Heiligen Koka-Blattes”, überzeugt von dessen vielfältigen Nutzen als Nahrungsmittel und Medizin. Daher beschloss er, sieben Jahre lang mit seinem Koka Mobile (Wohnmobil) eine Pilgerreise durch alle Städte von “Abya Yala” (Amerika) zu unternehmen, um die Vorteile dieser Mutterpflanze zu verbreiten.

* Gilberto Lopez Ruiz Kaimeramuy: Weisheitshüter und Überbringer von Worten aus dem Hiototo-Indigenenreservat, das zum Amazonas-Territorium in Leticia gehört, indigener Muina Murui des Yoriaɨ-Clans oder Volk der giftigen Brennnessel. Der Weisheitshüter verwebt Lehren mit dem Schwerpunkt auf der Fürsorge für den Körper, die Familie, soziale Beziehungen, die Natur, alles in Bezug auf die spirituelle Ebene.

* Senacio Suaye (Jate) & Asuzena Medina: Weisheitshüter-Ehepaar der Mhuysqa-Gemeinde von Ráquira Boyacá (Kolumbien), Aktivisten für die Wiederherstellung des Ahnen-Gedächtnisses und Unterstützer kultureller Wiederherstellungsprozesse. Das Ziel ihrer Gemeinde ist es, das Wissen der Vorfahren durch das Wort und die Ursprungsgeschichten in dieser Zeit anzuwenden.

Wir haben viele weitere tolle Menschen interviewt, von denen einige eine gemeinsame Episode haben werden, andere Teil des Bonusmaterials unserer Reise sein werden und wieder andere eine kleine Rolle im Dokumentarfilm spielen werden. Darüber hinaus wird diese Liste mit der zweiten Produktionsphase konstant wachsen bzw. erweitert werden.

WIE HOCH IST DAS BUDGET?

Die erste Hälfte des Dokumentarfilms wurde aus Eigenmitteln gedreht, weshalb wir Drehpausen einlegen mussten, um weiterhin Einnahmen zu erzielen. Seit März 2021 haben wir rund 12 Monate damit verbracht, vor Ort zu produzieren (Amazonas: Dschungel, Anden: Berge) und den Rest mit Arbeiten, Organisieren, Planen, Bearbeiten usw. verbracht. Diese Initiative ist unser persönlicher Antrieb und wir werden in keiner geldlichen Form für diese Arbeit bezahlt (bisher).

Wir haben bisher ausgegeben:

→ 20.000€ für Flüge und andere Transporte, Unterkunft, Unterstützung für Gemeinschaften und grundlegende Lebenshaltungskosten während des Drehs

Wir wollen weitermachen und entlang des Napo-Flusses und des Amazonas filmen, beginnend in Coca (Ecuador, Fluss Napo) und dann nach Iquitos (Peru, Amazonas) und Manaus (Brasilien, Amazonas), wo wir indigene Kommunen wie die Shipibo-Conibo in Peru besuchen wollen.

Außerdem haben wir vor, Acre in Brasilien zu besuchen, um die Huni Kuin und die Yawanawá in ihren Territorien zu besuchen. In einer späteren Reise möchten wir die Maya-Kultur in Guatemala und Mexiko sowie die Tolteken-/Azteken-Kultur in Zentralmexiko einbeziehen und unsere Dokumentation abschließen.

Wir schätzen, dass wir für die Amazonas-Dschungelreise etwa 5 bis 7 Monate und 10.000€ benötigen werden und für die Mittelamerikareise etwa 4 bis 6 Monate und weitere 10.000€ kosten wird.

Wir würden gerne unsere Ausrüstung reparieren und auf den neuesten Stand bringen, was etwa weitere 3000€ kosten wird.

Wir wollen mit der Veröffentlichung der ersten Episoden unserer Interviewreihe beginnen und dabei versuchen, die Kosten für die Postproduktion niedrig zu halten und einen großen Teil selbst zu erledigen. Um das beste Ergebnis zu erzielen, möchten wir jedoch am Ende Ton und Video optimieren, was für einige erste Teile der Serie etwa 5000€ kosten wird.

Wir wollen eine Website für die Serie, den Dokumentarfilm, unsere Reise und andere wichtige Projekte und Anliegen starten, die rund 2000€ kosten wird.

Letztendlich wird Eure Unterstützung von entscheidender Bedeutung sein um fachkundige Helfer/innen für die Postproduktion des Dokumentarfilms beauftragen zu können, deren Kosten von mehreren Faktoren abhängen, insbesondere von der Entscheidung, mit welchem Aufwand wir die traumhaften Darstellungen konstruieren bzw. veranschaulichen wollen. Dies hängt natürlich von unserem Budget ab. Bitte unterstützt uns dabei, gemeinsam ein fantastisches Erlebnis zu schaffen.

Für diese erste Seed-Finanzierungsrunde haben wir das Finanzierungsziel eher niedrig angesetzt, da es für uns im Moment am wichtigsten ist, mit der Postproduktion der Interviewreihe zu beginnen und mit der Produktion des zweiten Teils der Doku fortfahren zu können. Daher hoffen wir, das Ziel von 36.000€ zu erreichen, um Euch die Interviewreihe so schnell wie möglich zur Verfügung zu stellen und die Filmproduktion innerhalb eines Jahres abzuschließen. Alles über 36.000€ unterstützt unsere Zeit- und Vor-Investition und verbessert die Qualität der Postproduktion.

FERTIGSTELLUNGSFRIST?

Um die zweite Phase der Filmproduktion und die Basis der Postproduktion abzuschließen, liegt die geschätzte Zeit zwischen 12 und 15 Monaten. Um die besten Ergebnisse zu erzielen, werden wir mit Spezialisten zusammenarbeiten, um Farben, Töne und Spezialeffekte zu optimieren. Abhängig vom Budget, dem externen Team und der Promotionszeit werden wir den Film einige Monate später veröffentlichen.

EINIGE WICHTIGE DETAILS

Der Dokumentarfilm „Awakening Dreams“ wird verschiedene Sprachen beinhalten, da Hanna und Tarek in zwei verschiedenen Teilen der Welt aufgewachsen sind und ursprünglich Spanisch und Deutsch gesprochen haben. Deshalb wird die Erzählung auf Spanisch und Deutsch mit englischen Untertiteln sein, einige Interviews werden auch in Muttersprachen stattfinden, natürlich immer mit Auswahl von mehrsprachigen Untertiteln, damit sie jeder versteht.

Wir werden Euch durch Berichte und Präsenz in den sozialen Medien kontinuierlich auf dem Laufenden halten. Ihr könnt uns mit dem Namen der Doku “Awakening Dreams” finden.
