On Sunday, October 11, Awaken Church of Wallace, NC was impacted by a tornado causing significant damage across our campus. A large portion of our roof was torn away, windows in our front office were shattered & there was significant water damage to parts of our church including our kitchen and nursery.

As we begin the road to recovery, so many of you have reached out asking how you can help. While we do have insurance, the deductible is significant & we need your support to begin the process of rebuilding.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who has already shown up, prayed for us & reminded us of the power of community. If you feel led to give financially, we’ve created a GoFundMe to help us take these next steps toward restoration.

We’re holding onto the promise of Romans 8:28, trusting that God can work through even the hardest circumstances to bring about something good. We may not know exactly what this season holds, but we know the One who holds us through it.

Thank you for your continued prayers, generosity & love. We’re so grateful to be part of a community that shows up for one another, & we can’t wait to see how God provides in the days ahead. ❤️
