Joshua Spada. At twenty everything was looking up. He had a just started his dream job of being a mechanic like his late father. He was out of high school, living life to the fullest and having a blast doing it. Then the back pain started. At first being a mechanic and heavy lifting being a common part of the job it was his first thought to have pulled his back out. After physical therapy, weight loss and no pain relief for weeks his doctors decided to dig a little deeper to what was going on. One MRI result later and life was changed forever. The dreaded C word. Quickly tests were done, labs ran and a diagnosis was reached. A month of chemo treatments and then time for a CT scan. Chemo did nothing... Off to Moffit cancer hospital he went as his cancer diagnosis was incorrect. Weeks in the hospital with test after test run and finally a new diagnosis was reached. Alk positive anablastic large cell B cell lymphoma. What is that well a very aggressive very rare lymphoma (blood cancer). Aggressive chemo treatment and a bone marrow transplant was the treatment plan. Weeks in and out of the hospital, chemo treatments and the search for a donor began. Well a perfect match has been found! In November Josh will be going to start the next part of his journey in Tampa for at least a few months. He will need housing, food, and transportation. Please help Josh get through this part of his journey so he can beat this cancer and return to his passion of being a mechanic .
