As you may know, 9 year old Avyn has been battling cancer for 2+ years. He has completed a 1st round of chemotherapy, seen the cancer come back, had a successful tumor removal surgery after, faced many scary days and persevered through it all while continuing 3rd grade public school.

At this time, Avyn is undergoing a 2nd round of chemotherapy to keep his previous tumor away. This has been extremely taxing on his small body, with multiple trips to chemotherapy and urgent hospitalization due to complications. Avyn’s mother, Candace, is a warrior and has continued to support and love him well while also having 3 other children at home. Avyn is currently receiving home instruction as he is unable to attend public school. His elementary school has no elevator, so climbing 4 flights of stairs to his class multiple times a day has become impossible for his fragile body.

Through your giving here, Candace will have the urgent help she needs with unexpected expenses - every few weeks Avyn has been hospitalized for chemotherapy complications & side effects. These public transportation trips into Manhattan as well as chemo medications NOT covered by insurance, meals, groceries for the kids and time off from work have and will quickly add up. Your gifts will help relieve some of the financial, emotional and physical burden both Candace and Avyn have endured these last 2+ years.
