Western Wealth Capital (WWC) believes in giving back to the people who live in our properties with meaningful programs that build community.
Our “We’ve Got Your Back” program was created in 2016 to help school-aged children start their first day of school on the right foot. This year will be our fifth annual We’ve Got Your Back event and since inception, We’ve Got Your Back has donated over $100,000 and over 6,200 backpacks.
The WWC team purchases school supplies from local businesses and organizes them into individual backpacks for every child. The backpacks are distributed to WWC’s multifamily properties across the U.S., with additional supplies donated to local schools and charities.
“We’ve Got Your Back not only benefits children but multi-family communities as a whole”, says Janet LePage, Chief Executive Officer of WWC.
“The smiles we see on the kids’ faces are worth it alone, but We’ve Got Your Back is also a great personal way to connect parents and our property management teams,” says LePage. “This initiative is part of our broader goal of wanting to create better communities, which goes beyond monetary investment. We want to create communities that are good places to live for our residents, and good places to work for our employees."
We recognize that this year has brought new challenges for families, and we will continue to support our residents to ease some of these burdens. We are working with our wider teams, residents and local school districts across the U.S. to support our residents where they need it most. Whether the first day of school will be in a classroom or at home, We've Got Your Back in 2020 will ensure every child at every WWC property is fully equipped to start their first day of school on the right foot.
