Please support the Avril Kim Felix McGregor Memorial Scholarship!
Avril Kim Felix McGregor was a 1998 graduate of A. Philip Randolph Campus High School. As a student with an immense work ethic and focus, she excelled academically as a member of the National Honors Society; a feat which afforded her a full scholarship to her alma mater Northeastern University. As a high school classmate, we adored Avril for her carefree, compassionate, and comedic personality which was heavily influenced by her Bronx roots and Caribbean pride by way of the beautiful island of Dominica. We miss her thunderous and infectious laugh that brought light into a lot of people’s lives.
In addition to being a scholar and a social butterfly in the school, Avril also thrived as a member of the Sweet Stepping Sisters of NYC. She commanded balance in her life and gave everything and everyone that she cared about her very best. After graduating Magna Cum Laude from Northeastern University, and receiving a host of academic honors and awards, she pursued her MBA at Fairfield University which lead her to a successful career in Finance and Marketing.
In her honor and remembrance, a memorial scholarship has been established for three A. Philip Randolph Campus High School 2018 graduating seniors who, like Avril, have demonstrated academic excellence, have overcome hardship, and have engaged in community service to support the needs of others. In this scholarship, we carry on Avril's spirit in an attempt to help those who value education and see it as a tool to live their best lives.
All proceeds from this GoFundMe campaign will be presented to the three scholarship award recipients at the end of June 2018.
