Avreigh’s Recovery
On October 1 Avreigh went to her local hospital
because she was having trouble breathing. 24
hours later she was in acute respiratory failure and put on life support. First a ventilator, but her body was still failing so she was put on ECMO. She had a rough time being put on ECMO and a rough time
during a bronchoscopy. Finally after 9 days on
ECMO she was well enough to come off. She now
requires intensive therapy and daily medicine.
We all know when a child is sick or in pain the only thing that brings comfort is their mommy and
daddy. The hospital that Avreigh has been in is
more than an hour from their home. This makes
quick trips impossible. It also requires a lot of time away from their business, their income.
These funds will be used to help pay for medical
expenses and travel and everyday expenses from missing work as the Joel and Bambi are small
business owners. Any help is appreciated. Thank
you!
