On Sunday Sept. 30th at 8:15pm myself and a friend took Rosie and her bother Tucker out on a walk. Unfortunately, her leash slipped from my hands and she ran out onto Valley dr. & 28th street. As I saw the lights of a car coming towards her I started to scream and wave my hands so the car would slow down. Unfortunately, the car never stopped, slowed down, or swerved out of the way. After they had run her over they kept driving and never stopped. As she laid lifeless in the street I did everything I could to comfort her and tell her everything was going to be ok. Rosie stopped breathing in my arms three times that night. As police and firefighters arrived I was distraught and in complete panic and I begged them to instruct me what to do in this situation, and they weren't able to give me advice or assistance. I did what I thought was best and started to preform CPR on her as I could hear her health declining very quickly. We were able to rush Rosie to the ER in time to save her life. She is a MIRACLE. Rosie has been such a fighter through all of this and continues to spread love to everyone even after this traumatic experience. Amazingly enough she has only suffered a fracture under her right eye, broken toe, upper jaw and eye trauma, and some nasty road rash. 

Rosie is the strongest little puppy the vets have seen. Typically dogs don't survive what Rosie went through and today Oct. 3rd she is back at home comfortably resting and reunited with her family and brother (Tucker). The community of Hermosa Beach has been so amazing and thoughtful in this terrible time for our family. We have started this GoFundMe to help with her medical bills. #RosieStrong
