Donation protected
The Avon Methodist Church (Avon UMC), located at 507 Garfield Avenue; Avon-By-The-Sea, New Jersey, needs your help. the church is running out of operating capital and will have to close it's doors in the next 6 months if we cannot change course.
We spent the better part of our youth as very active members of the Avon UMC. We were members of the Sunday School, proud participants in weekly service, and facilitators of seasonal events sponsored by the church. Like many of the church's young constituents, as our lives progressed, we moved away from the community and thereby away from the church.
Our late mother, Dr. Lynne Steinbauer-Capezza, spent much of her free time volunteering as the church's Sunday School teacher, facilitator of church events, and active member of the board. She loved the church, what it stood for, and it's influence in the community. Because of her, we are compelled to make our best attempt to save it. This attempt starts with you.
Our goal is to raise $50,000. $50,000 allows the church to successfully operate for the next 2 years and, therefore, an opportunity to grow it's congregation so it can operate without aid. $50,000 equals $25 from 2000 people. We hope you can donate that amount, however, any financial assistance is more than welcome & appreciated.
Thank you for hearing our story and participating in the revitalization effort for the Avon United Methodist Church.
Best,
Stephen & David Capezza
