Hi, my name is Naiara Castillo, and I’m reaching out during one of the most difficult moments of my life.

I am currently a college student, set to graduate in May, with my final classes ending in March. I am doing everything I can to stay on track, but I am now facing the very real possibility of homelessness.

I lost my job in May of last year due to government funding cuts, and since then, I have been struggling to keep stable housing while actively searching for work. I have applied to every job I could find, completed my food handler’s card, and continue to follow up; yet, I have not received any responses or job offers so far.

Recently, I was given a 3-day pay or vacate notice, which has made this situation extremely urgent.

I am asking for $5,000 to help me:

Keep my current housing

Cover rent and any related fees

Buy time to secure employment while finishing school

The amount includes a small buffer in case additional fees or emergencies arise. My goal is not long-term support, just enough stability to keep a roof over my head while I continue applying for jobs and complete my degree.

I know that many people are struggling right now, and I don’t ask for help lightly. Any donation, no matter the size, or even sharing this fundraiser, would mean more than I can express.
