AVM Emergency Recovery Fund for Shiloh

Donation protected
You never think you'll find yourself in this position - but here we are...

my sister-in-law Shiloh has AVM - its a rare tangle of blood vessels in the brain and no one was aware of this until there was a rupture on the morning of December 27th, 2022 which caused her brain to fill with blood - she noticed the signs (stroke-like symptoms) and had a coworker drive her to the nearest hospital where she lost consciousness- they transferred her to St Luke’s in San Antonio where they did emergency surgery and drilled a hole in her head to relieve the pressure in a time crunch which to our relief worked and saved her life!

Initially, after this, she had no mobility on her right side but has been slowly moving her right side a little bit which gives us a lot of hope for her to be making a great recovery! HOWEVER, there is still the hurdle of trying to repair the vessels in her brain that ruptured and that’s going to be a long and costly process which the neuro team is still coming up with a plan for - as well as will need a lot of physical, speech and cognitive therapy on the road to recovery.

WE ARE REQUESTING ALL THE PRAYERS POSSIBLE TO SEND HEALING TO HER!

She is uncomfortable with a breathing tube but aware and communicating with her eyes, nods and hand squeezes - and her husband Luis has been by her side at all times.

This medical emergency has been financially devastating to their humble two-income household. Please join in collective support for Shiloh. She is a truly beautiful person and a light in our lives, especially my brother. She is kind, hardworking, considerate, and loving - an Air Force veteran, a Christian, someone who keeps everyone laughing, loves the little things in life like being in being in nature and cooking for friends and family. A week does not go by that you don’t get a text from her with a hilarious joke. I can’t say enough good things about her as person. She is the least deserving of this pain at such a young age of 43. We will continue to stand by her every step of the way - Thank you immensely for the love and support for my family! We will continue to post updates regarding her recovery journey.
