Mary Mathias and I taught with Katie at Northern Shores Elementary for the last three years. In the midst of her many brain surgeries, she was always very positive, had a smile on her face, and a kind word for everyone. She was a loving wife, mom, and educator. She lost her battle with complications from brain tumors on October 4, 2020. She has battled bravely for the past 4 years, always  giving generously to her family, her friends, and the children who have been fortunate to call her teacher. We welcome you to join us as we come together to support Katie's family-Adam, her husband, and her two children, Audrey and Nate.
