Avis is Fighting Strong
Donation protected
Hello Friends, Family, and Supporters,
I, Kelvin Smith, and sister Kayla Cook are reaching out to ask for your support to assist with providing care for our Mother who has unfortunately fallen severely ill.
While on a trip with her sister to San Juan, Puerto Rico my mom, Avis Isom was unexpectedly admitted to the hospital. What we initially thought would be a short stay for my mother, turned out to be a fight for her life. A fight that she’s still in.
When we received the information pertaining to our mom’s condition, we immediately flew to Puerto Rico to assist her in any way that we could. My mom means the world to us, so we of course dropped everything and spared no cost to be by her side.
Unfortunately, our mother’s situation while stable, is not showing signs of improvement. At this point I’m not certain of how long we will be in Puerto Rico as there is no timeframe on when my mom will be healthy enough to be released from the hospital to travel home.
As a result of the mounting hospital bills, housing accommodations, food, and travel expenses while in San Juan, we are reaching out to ask for your support. With so many unexpected expenses in addition to our existing financial obligations your assistance is needed. Any donations made will be used exclusively to support the aforementioned financial obligations.
My mom means the world to us. While it is beyond tough to see her suffer like this there’s no way that we wouldn’t be by her side each and every day. My mom is a fighter, but if she needs that extra push during the battle of her life, I’ll be by her side to provide that support.
Myself, my sister Kayla, my wife Amina, my son Kerron, and the rest of my family truly appreciates your support. Any amount you can offer is significant and no amount is too small. While your donations are important, we would also like to ask for your prayers.
“Prayer is the means of sustaining a faith that at times can grow weak. The power of prayer is enriching, uplifting to hear our God speak.”
In closing, please help to spread the word via your social media outlets. Again, we appreciate you and thanks for your support.
