National Youth Leadership Forum
Hi, my name is Victoria Lipinski and I am 12 years old. I am in 7th grade at Conrady Jr High school in Hickory Hills. This year along with 9 other students I was nominated by my science teacher to attend a program called National Youth Leadership Forum. The reason why I was nominated is because of my academic potential and interest in the areas of STEM. This is a program where you learn about science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM). It can give me a head start on planning for my future while having fun and meeting other high achieving students from across the country. The forum lasts almost a week and it’s held in different locations like California, Colorado, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, and more. Attending students will have a chance to meet interesting personalities such as NASA astronauts and scientists. In addition, I will learn important skills to help me succeed in college and life, including time and self management, conflict resolution, and public speaking.
Even though this program sounds so amazing, the cost of it is unfortunately way too high. So, I am asking for help because of my family's situation that drastically changed in December of 2018 with the sudden death of my Dad.
I will need to raise this money until October 11th. I will be truly grateful for everyone who will contribute to this fundraiser to help me participate in this great event. This really means a lot to me.
Sincerely,
Victoria Lipinski
